[ It's been a little while now, since Floki arrived in this world. He's had a lot to deal with, emotionally when it comes to the Gods here. Believing that any interaction, involvement or acknowledgement of them is a direct insult to his Gods, the real Gods!
It's also taken him a while to get used to the communication devices. Floki is fluent in Runes, one of the lucky and knowledgeable Vikings that managed to teach himself how to communicate through them. Floki could read and write, understand and create tales through this means, yet the phone device he was given? This was all new and strange.
So, here he was. The first appearance over the network sat in what looked like a beautifully crafted, ornate wooden Viking boat. The head was of Fáfnir, the mythical Midgard Serpent. Floki slumped against he neck of the dragon, a smirk-like sneer pulled over his lips. He placed the phone on the side of the boat, freeing his hands so that he was able to pick up a rather large wooden statue he'd handcarved himself. ]
May the Alföðr himself, bless my boat.
[ Raising both arms to the sky, fingers twitching in random movements, a strange chirp of a giggle left his lips before he stroked the statue with one hand, a gesture of praise with his other, moved down his forehead before kissing the knuckle of his thumb. ]
The true Gods should be pleased to see someone still worships them. I shall be blessed a bountiful life so long as I reject these false deities... And you should all be wise too, turn your back on their lies, for Odin is forgiving of the ignorant and blind but not those who will turn their backs in blasphemy.
[ Turning his head aside, Floki spat at the ground as if he was so disgusted in what he was saying, disgusted that people here fell for the glamour these so-called Gods had them under. ]

An uncompromising religious fanatic.
[He definitely looks the part. There's crazy in this one's eyes.]
no subject
Well... Thank you, very much. You flatter me. Te-hee!
[ To Floki, Leo just gave him a huge compliment. He was proud to be a Zealot. ]
no subject
[Well, that hadn't been his intent, but if Floki wanted to take as such, Leo would let him.]
And how do you serve your gods? What gains their favor?
no subject
[ How very kind of him. Perhaps Floki would think carefully about interacting with Leo if he knew just what exactly he was... For now, though, he was amused and being amused was a very entertaining way to pass the time. ]
Oh... So now you wish to know how the Zealot serves his Gods? Why? Do you wish to partake in the battle magic? Or maybe the ritual offerings of blood and flesh?
no subject
[What else would he have called an ability that allowed him to steal the souls of others?]
But tell me about these ritual offerings. How do they work?
no subject
You'll have to tell me more about your own magic...
[ A smirk falls from his face and if replaced with a very serious expression as he starts to talk. ]
To take from our Gods, we must give them something in return.
[ Gesturing with his hands as he spoke. ]
I want to find great lands to pillage and may my plunder of spoils be vast... So, I would offer the Gods an animal. Maybe a horse, maybe a goat or dear. I would slit its throat like this-
[ Tracing his thumb across his own neck, slowly and sadistically. ]
-And collect the blood in a bowl. Then, I would dip my fingers in, while it's still warm and think, to trace its mark from my forehead to lips.
[ Floki acted out each movement, all while staring at Leo through the cameras feed. ]
You drink next, as much as you can from the blood collected in the bowl... And once this is all over, you feast and drink in celebration... If the need if great or its a certain time of year, we sacrifice nine different male animals, for each of the nine realms, this includes a willing human sacrifice too.
no subject
But then Floki says words which make his eyes, a darker blue shade than any human's have ever been, go hard as flint.]
You sacrifice people?
[Most people have the ability for their voices to go icy when they're angry. Leo's instead sounds fiery, like he intends to bring down an unholy wrath upon Floki.]
no subject
Same went for Leo's tone of voice, only Floki recognized it well, he'd sounded like that himself while cursing malice words towards a certain pet Christian ]
Yes. Though, the sacrifice is always willing to give their life. To my people, it is a great honour. We bathe them in oils and flower petals, feed them only the best food and drink and they even have a virgin to lay with the night before their offer is made.
[ Was he offended? Floki could feel it, he wasn't afraid though, as far as he was concerned he was doing nothing wrong. In fact, should Leo wish to truly bring down an unholy wrath upon him... Floki would meet it with a smirk on his face and an axe in his hand. ]
no subject
Leo looks off to the side for a moment to keep from completely losing it. After all, it's not like he can do anything over the network. His next words are snapped out curtly.]
If it's such an honor, why haven't you done it?
[He must come from a bunch of barbarians to consider such a thing acceptable.]
no subject
The look away, off to the side, make Floki wonder just how annoyed and disgusted this man is with him? What was he, a Christian? ]
I wanted to. I almost did... And if the time called for it, I would in a heartbeat.
[ Banging his chest as he spoke, Floki was telling the truth. ]
no subject
Such a shame you didn't. Your death would have been far easier that way.
[Leo could make a person's death near-painless with his song...or he could sadistically torture a person to make their soul rise up to the surface.]
no subject
Easier? There is venom in your tone. Tell me, what has Floki done to you?
[ How fascinating. Floki would very much like to hear such a song... Only, on someone else rather than on himself thanks. ]
no subject
[Leo sounds very self-righteous as he says this. He is judge, jury, and executioner all together. If he finds Floki, it's likely he'll try to take his soul.]
no subject
[ His tone was joking and light. Though Floki never saw anything wrong with what he'd done. It was the way of his people and if that meant they were sinners, then so be it. He'd take pride in being a sinner if it wound Leo up any more!]
no subject
Bullshit. You've committed enough sins in your life to darken your soul past the point of redemption.
no subject
[ Floki was enjoying this now. He couldn't help it, the other male seems so easy to rile up and over nothing at all too! Wow. ]
And so, what would you have me do? Get down onto my knees and pray? Or maybe a good deed for my fellow man. Would that satisfy as a tribute for a life of sin~?
no subject
[He says the words in a flat, hard manner.]
That will make up for all your wickedness and sinful nature. A life for all those you have taken.
