Hello, everyone! I wanted to remind you that the Sewing Shop is open and ready for business here on the North Island. I can make a wide variety of clothing or embellish that which you already have. You have only to ask.

The only price is that you have to obtain a bolt of fabric from Tranquility in exchange. All manners of fabric are welcome as are all colors.

One of your friends, Party Poison, has approached me about making clothing for all of you. He's already paid in advance, so all you need to do is come over so I can take your measurements and talk to you about what you would like to have.

I--well, I don't know if I'd go that far.

[ He laughs softly ]

And that is why it's true.

[she briefly bows her head before looking back up at him]

Who am I to argue with your wisdom?

[ He laughs, startled ]

Of all the things to ascribe to me, "wisdom" is the most unlikely!

[she beams]

No one is ever a good judge of their own character.

Now who is the flatterer?

But I meant it - Finrod is the one who earned the appelation "Wise"

[loftily] Not me. I merely tell the truth.

And which appellation did you earn, or would you rather I not know for I would go and argue with the one who assigned it to you?

[ He shrugs ]

I earned many, in my time. But in Beleriand they called me "Swift", for I commanded our calvary.

I can think of worse names to be called. Granted, I wouldn't be able to verify it in person as I've not seen you in combat.

[bythewaves]

[ He grins back at her wryly ]

I'd rather you don't have to! It's one of the kinder ones I've been given.

[she smiles back, equally wry]

I understand the feeling. You should hear some of the names Cersei had for me.

[bythewaves]

The difference there is I am pretty sure you did not deserve those names. [ He points out, amused despite himself ]

Ah, but I was trying to win her sons over with my wicked feminine wiles. [and succeeded]

[ He quirks a smile at her ]

Oh dear how terrible. [ He deadpans, amused. His own epithets, he knows, are far more damning. Kinslayer. Child-stealer. Monster. ]

[she smiles back, completely innocent]

It was. I think "the whore of Highgarden" was my particular favorite. [but he's turned his life around, those names shouldn't carry any more weight]

[ He growls a little at the phrase, not liking it applied to her ]

I am very glad you are clear of that environment. [ He says darkly.

And he's not so sure about that... ]

As am I. I enjoyed being queen and I would have been a good one, had Tommen simply listened to me, but no one was ever truly safe there. [and frankly, she was amused at the idea of Cersei Lannister calling any other woman a whore]

I think you would have been. [ He agrees ] For you are strong, and kind, and there is wisdom hard won in you.

My time in the Faith's cells was unkind, but I learned many things, not the least of which to not put my trust in gods.

[bythewaves]

I think that we all can agree on. [ He nods ] They want us alive - that, we can trust. Nothing more than that, I think.

[roseofthetyrells]

They want us alive and they want our protection from the Null. Should we leave them to their own devices, all would likely perish.

[bythewaves]

They do seem rather incapable. [ Maglor agrees ]

One would think they've never had to fight!

Indeed. A poor showing from ones who style themselves as gods.

Perhaps they haven't? It would explain a great many things.
