I could use a navigator so long as their experience isn't solely a set of stars that don't exist here.

Compared to holograms, a program to collect and collate data is nothing. A camera and sensors in the googles of a diver should do.

Easy. My sub back home had the same capabilities to protect my medical equipment. The only problem we'll run into is whether or not anyone here has the skills to build a waterproofed cabin.
