[Hopefully everyone has recovered from their hangovers and energy drink comas by now, but if not he's using text to be courteous. Also because it's really late, and because this message works better in text anyway.]

So this isn't exactly a huge important development or whatever, but if your usual texting back home involved emojis I'm sure you'll be ecstatic to know that you can send them here now, too.

Options are kind of limited to happy, unhappy, and pissed off, but never fear. Any additional emoji requests can be submitted to Emily, who I'm sure will totally love fulfilling them for you since she's the master artist here; I just do the scripting. Definitely request as many inane emojis as you could possibly want. Make sure to ask her every time you talk to her if they're done yet, too.

I live with like four other people and we're all awake at different hours so yeah it's just kind of habit by now. You live with someone else too I'm guessing? Or is it someone next door being super loud?

Next door. I live by myself right now and I don't really have plans to do otherwise. I prefer my peace and quiet at least when I'm trying to sleep. Now if my family were here that would be different.

Do you have a big family?

I do. At least four of them I am use to being around all the time. The others travel a lot. We still always have time for each other. Even the twins are a handful and yet I couldn't ask for much more than their company. So if they came I would likely seek a large living quarters.

That's really cool. I don't have any brothers or sister and just one cousin who's a lot older, so I always kind of wondered what it was like to have a ton of family around all the time.

Probably not good for quiet, though, yeah.

[Which he does like a fair share of. But with his friends--or specifically Josh and the twins, before last year--it had been kind of like having siblings anyway.]

They are all I've ever known. If I am honest, to be cut off from them suddenly irritates me and I'd do just about anything to get back to them. I almost want someone to come here with me but I also love my family to warrant against petty wishes.

[Okay, so maybe he might be filing this person's name away for later.] No, not quiet though my niece is rather easy to entertain.

Yeah. It really sucks when you're here without something important to you, since you want them around but not in a place like this. A few of my friends have been here and gone back home, and it's tough trying to remember that it's probably best they're not here.

[Not like home's great either, if they're from a time where they're still on the mountain, but for people like Sam who are about to make it out... It's better for her there than here, even if it would be great to have her around.]

How old's your niece?

Oho. So people do go back home. This 'Door' must work in a stranger way than I thought. Either a god is lying or it has a mind of its own. I simply hope that if my family comes here that it actually returns them to their home and not somewhere else.

The gods say they don't control it; I talked to Fear about it and he seemed surprised people could go through it and come back without anything bad happening to him. He could've been faking it, but I don't think so.

Yeah. I mean, I think it must? Other people have gone back to their homes and then returned, and remembered new things happening at home. So they were sure that's where they want.

Oh, I can't say much then since I'm still in my teens too.

Yet we were brought here with it even if it isn't controlled in order to send us back. How convenient that we're such a good energy source for them. I'm sure we'll find out eventually if something reveals it as such. It eases my mind a little to know that. I am not so she can be a handful when she gets bored to anyone that is not use to dealing with her.
