[Hopefully everyone has recovered from their hangovers and energy drink comas by now, but if not he's using text to be courteous. Also because it's really late, and because this message works better in text anyway.]

So this isn't exactly a huge important development or whatever, but if your usual texting back home involved emojis I'm sure you'll be ecstatic to know that you can send them here now, too.

Options are kind of limited to happy, unhappy, and pissed off, but never fear. Any additional emoji requests can be submitted to Emily, who I'm sure will totally love fulfilling them for you since she's the master artist here; I just do the scripting. Definitely request as many inane emojis as you could possibly want. Make sure to ask her every time you talk to her if they're done yet, too.

Yeah, but it was weird because he remembered being here, but injuries that he'd gotten taken care of here were back when he showed up again.

No idea. I mean, he didn't remember anything more happening at home or anything, so I guess he must've gone back and then immediately come through the door again but that doesn't explain the injuries unless being here's like a Matrix-style all in your mind sort of thing.

Or maybe ... a temporal distortion kind of thing?

That doesn't seem like too far-fetched of an idea, especially when you consider what comes through the Door in the first place.

Yeah, I mean I guess that's possible. As crazy as it sounds that that sort of thing is not only possible but actually might be what's happening.

( he can't blame you there. sci-fi is great and all, but when it comes reality, there's a bit of a problem. )

What I don't get is how there's any benefit of it. You know? What do the gods get out of taking people out and bringing them back in like that?

That's assuming they have any control over it, but maybe intensity of emotion? Since they get power from emotion, if they bring someone in over and over from a really emotional point in time maybe they get an extra boost?

[He's pretty certain Mike was in the middle of the last confrontation at the Lodge before he got here, and to say that entire ordeal was intensely terrifying would be an understatement.]

That makes a weird kind of sense. And since we don't know for sure, it's the best thing we have to go on.
