I will admit I am not an artist myself, but I do consider myself a collector and you see I'd like to...well, let us say... update this house a little bit.

[Semiyon's voice is his ever calm, ever laid back tone]

At worst I plan to hang up a couple paintings, Newton. Is this so bad?

[It's not, but, well. May as well argue about it. The lab was too quiet today, and he needs to finish feeding his menagerie before he can relax for the evening. This is a fine thing to do while he tosses chunks of fish to the salamanders.]

It's not about what you're planning to do, it's about me finding out through a public network post. You should tell me what's up.

[For the moment he decides to forgo responding via network. He knows for a fact that Newt is just in the next room so he simply get up and lightly pads down the hall towards the monster room.

When he gets there he leans against the doorframe with a playful expression]

You know, Newton...there are much more fun things we could be doing than arguing

After all, you must be tired from all your lab work. Let me massage your shoulders....

[Despite being in the same house as the guy, Newt is super not expecting Semiyon to just show up suddenly. He starts, almost dropping the plate of fish he's holding. Jeez. For an old guy, Semiyon sure is sneaky.]

Uh...

[He squints at Semiyon.]

Is this a bribe? Are you bribing me?

[He takes a few easy, smooth steps forward, significantly narrowing the gap between them]

Would it bother you if it is....?

I, uh, I guess not.

[He squares himself, trying to stand a little taller because he doesn't love the way Semiyon towers over him. Man, being as short as he is can be incredibly inconvenient.]

But only because this argument doesn't matter.

[So far as Semiyon is concerned it should have never been an argument in the first place. He holds up his hands in a palms up gesture]

[After all he's already here and it's not like it would be interrupt his busy schedule of tending to the house]
