Normally, I would think what I'm about to ask is an odd question, but given the location and the circumstances, maybe not so much.

How many of you actually know about monsters? Spirits, things that go bump in the night, that sort of thing? Because where I'm from, they're pretty common, and I've noticed from meeting others here that it isn't that way for everyone.

( which is how it should be, if you ask him. nobody should know that the thing in their closet is real. )

Next question. Would anyone be interested in learning about things like that, and how to protect yourself against them?

those are stories parents tell their kids when they're little. where i'm from, anyway. once they get old enough, monsters turn into bandit kings and explosive psychopaths.

I've encountered a few creatures along those lines, Sam dear, but I can quite believe you know a great deal more. I'd be delighted to learn.

We had wendigos. I don't know if there's anything else though; we'd only found out about wendigos the night before we got here, and monsters weren't supposed to exist at all. Seems kind of weird if it was only wendigos though, right?

Any tips you have for you know, not dying when there's monsters are definitely going to be helpful though, yeah.

That's part of it, yeah. But there are also precautions that you can take that work even better than bullets.

We have wendigos, too. A little different from the ones that I've seen here, but they seem to die the same way, at least.

I have a lot of tips, actually. ( more than anyone should, tbh. )

Probably on most anything you'd want to know. I'm thinking of starting up a ... I guess a kind of learning annex for anyone that wants a better chance at being prepared when the new things show up every month.

Such things exist in my world, though they're far from common. Any additional information you could provide would be helpful, though.

The ones here were the ones from my world.

That's a good idea. People could add in how to fight monsters from their own worlds too, maybe, since some of the things that show up come from them.

The only monsters are other humans.

What do you intend to teach people? Combat or something else?

I know stuff about dark magic. The monsters I know about are...ogres and witches and dark wizards and stuff. Which isn't like the monsters here, so...I definitely want to know more. So I can protect people. And my mom.

They're definitely a normal occurrence. Though from what I've seen, new ones come through every month, and it always seems to coincide with new arrivals.

( mhm. ) I guess it could be easy enough to hide from them, but I've always thought it's a better idea to be prepared. Just in case it doesn't work.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was a good idea. It's always better to be prepared for anything, you know? And any added input would be great.

I know a great deal about monsters. Studying, tracking and killing them in the most effective way is my occupation.

Magical knowledge might not be a bad thing to spread around, either. I'm betting there are a handful of different definitions of it floating around here.
