How many of you actually know about monsters? Spirits, things that go bump in the night, that sort of thing? Because where I'm from, they're pretty common, and I've noticed from meeting others here that it isn't that way for everyone.

Next question. Would anyone be interested in learning about things like that, and how to protect yourself against them?

those are stories parents tell their kids when they're little. where i'm from, anyway. once they get old enough, monsters turn into bandit kings and explosive psychopaths.

That's part of it, yeah. But there are also precautions that you can take that work even better than bullets.

We had wendigos. I don't know if there's anything else though; we'd only found out about wendigos the night before we got here, and monsters weren't supposed to exist at all. Seems kind of weird if it was only wendigos though, right?

Any tips you have for you know, not dying when there's monsters are definitely going to be helpful though, yeah.

We have wendigos, too. A little different from the ones that I've seen here, but they seem to die the same way, at least.

I know stuff about dark magic. The monsters I know about are...ogres and witches and dark wizards and stuff. Which isn't like the monsters here, so...I definitely want to know more. So I can protect people. And my mom.

No, I don't. ( there have been moments, both in the distant past and the more recent, in which he's given a 'monster' a second chance because they didn't want to hurt anyone. )

I've never done well with violence. Most of the creatures here...it doesn't surprise me that they exist, but I wouldn't know where to start to fight them.

It really depends on what you're dealing with. Things like spirits, you can keep away for a while with a ring of salt and some iron. Other things don't die easily and don't have many weaknesses, so ... sometimes violence is necessary.

( he's with you, gansey. violence isn't always the answer, but sometimes it's the only one you have to turn to.

The only monsters from my world are machine and made by humans, for humans.

(This does make him relatively cautious though. His face is calm and neutral, however.)

And the monsters here, of course. The ones from the tunnels. Though it seems like you know more about it. What kind of monsters come from your world?
