Normally, I would think what I'm about to ask is an odd question, but given the location and the circumstances, maybe not so much.

How many of you actually know about monsters? Spirits, things that go bump in the night, that sort of thing? Because where I'm from, they're pretty common, and I've noticed from meeting others here that it isn't that way for everyone.

Next question. Would anyone be interested in learning about things like that, and how to protect yourself against them?

Correct. Death gods or spirits, from Japanese folklore. They're not exactly monsters, but they do exist where I'm from.

I don't know much about them since I've never actually come across one, but I've read a bit about them.

What have you read about them?

They're demons that possess the living and make them want to commit suicide.

That's what I was always told, too. But I don't think that's entirely accurate.

Nothing from firsthand dealings with them. Only what I've been told by a source who has dealt with them. By his accounts, they're much less impressive than what the stories would have you believe.

Words should carry intent. If you don't care about how your words are perceived, that means they lack intent.

Not necessarily. A lot of things can be left open to interpretation, regardless of their original intent.

Are you confused, or just miffed by the fact that I don't read that much into what others might think I'm saying?
