who went out on the ships to collect fragments? and whats the plan w. those fragments?

She breathes deep, because being considered irresponsible when they've spent the majority of the last couple of weeks running themselves ragged to make sure everything is done as safely as possible rankles her. And that's without including their other responsibilities in the city. )

We decided that the immediate safety of the fragments and the people working on them was more important than discussing what if situations. If it came to that, we would have discussed it then with everyone who worked with us.

( It wasn't as though they were unreachable during this entire endeavour. If it had been such a concern, she is sure someone would or should have brought it up. )

[Unfortunately, all Harlan knows about any of this is what he's being told now. From his perspective, "haven't thought about it" means virtually no plan, or at least no long term plan, especially since it wasn't exactly public knowledge that the fragments were all getting shipped to the lab in the first place.]

thats all well and good but idk how u missed considering what to do w. them after the fact.

it sounds like u had ur shit together more than ur txt implied but thats not my point.
these fragments are important to everyone in hadriel.
i dont like the idea that that shit fell into the hands of ppl who hadnt considered that. the full scope.
all ur tellin me now is how u were planning to use them for ur own interests.

I'm telling you that giving up the fragments isn't a simple yes / no. Depends on where experimentation is, current results, opinions of other people working on them.

( And Alphys is also correct. It would likely depend on what the people who brought the fragments back wanted as well. )

There were too many options to stick to one plan.

heres the timeline as im seeing it.
u and alphys got all these fragments somehow. u asked for em or ppl dumped em on u or w.e. doesnt matter.
either way u accepted responsibility for them.
i dont give a fuck what ur doin w. them as far as the experimenting and shit.
im askin u and her both what the plan was for after.
i get that shit changes. i dont agree w. any option other than giving em to sorrow but i can respect wanting to keep ur options open just in case.

Planned to study the fragments, then discuss things.

( Between making sure everyone who was involved handled the fragments as safely as possible, making sure the fragments themselves were a safe as possible, doing their other duties with regards to the lab, the clinic, and other people... Some things had to be left with a promise of when we're ready.

There is, after all, only so much planning can help when you're dealing with incredibly powerful, foreign magical artifacts. )
