If the demon cannot care, if it reasons the same way a wild animal would and if we cannot trust it to use common sense, it would explain a great many things. After all, if you don't care, why would you be concerned about consequences to your actions? I'm afraid I know nothing about demons. They don't exist in Westeros. And I had no idea that it was a threat until I was attacked.

I couldn't agree more. This is a small population, we have to be able to trust that none would resort to such violence. If we can't, all that stands in their way is each other.
