As I'm sure we're all aware, the demon has been temporarily been . . . put out of commission. Now, this is not the place to debate the wisdom of vigilante justice. Dr. Sweets appears to have that well in hand. No, what this is is the place to discuss what measures may be taken to prevent the demon from taking its rage out on the entirety of Hadriel.

The gods will do nothing. Tranquility told me himself that they will only take action if they themselves are threatened. So we're left to fend for ourselves. We must make our plans ourselves and it would be far better to have those plans coordinated well in advance of its release.

So I am directing this to anyone who has ideas for what to do when the demon is inevitably released back into the populace. Surely there are those with powers or skills which could prevent it from going on a murderous rampage. Now is the time for those people to step forward and offer their ideas.

If the demon cannot care, if it reasons the same way a wild animal would and if we cannot trust it to use common sense, it would explain a great many things. After all, if you don't care, why would you be concerned about consequences to your actions? I'm afraid I know nothing about demons. They don't exist in Westeros. And I had no idea that it was a threat until I was attacked.

I couldn't agree more. This is a small population, we have to be able to trust that none would resort to such violence. If we can't, all that stands in their way is each other.

We have whispers about them back home, spoken stories that are only uttered in the quietest corners of the church. They're real, and alive. Or so I've been told. Folklore that still has teeth and claws.

We can't underestimate her. We can hope for good behavior, hope is good for the heart, but you're wise to help prepare for the worst. And I think we should expect it, honestly. I think every culture has at least one saying that comes down to being better safe than sorry. And with how many civilians reside in the city, it falls to those capable to make a way for them to survive.

So at least you know something of what you're dealing with. [and the "folklore with teeth and claws" makes her think of the White Walkers, but that's neither here nor there] We have no such beings in Westeros, no stories of similar beings. Being killed by one was quite the shock. [understatement]

Thank you. I was hoping that more citizens of this place would see the wisdom of planning ahead in case the worst happens, but thus far you're one of the only ones who has stepped forward. It was beginning to feel like I was trying to convince a wall. Cold, hard, and utterly oblivious to the peril it was in. There are many here with powers and abilities, but few who can match the demon.

Something yes, unfortunately not as much as I'd like to know to keep this city safe. I'm sorry that you had to experience death here. I know it's not permanent, but it can't be a pleasant experience even with the promise of resurrection.

If she's anything like the demons of my home's legends, she's a liar and a trickster. And being human looking, it wouldn't be hard for her to betray the people. It's hard to see through deception, it seems. So we'll have to be wise for them, and see through the trickery for them. We can't save everyone. But we can certainly do our best.

I wish I knew more to tell you. I've done my best to keep my distance ever since I've been killed, so all I know is second or third-hand information along with hearsay. Thank you for your sympathies. It was disconcerting, to say the least. At least my death was over quickly.

That sounds like a good description of the demon from what I've heard. And it does look human, except for its coal black eyes. I'll never forget them. And it seems as though a great many people here have been fooled, but what they don't know is that they've gotten a lion by the tail. Sooner or later, the lion will turn and bite. But yes, with luck and skill hopefully on our side, we can try to keep the demon contained.

Thank goodness for small blessings. But it shouldn't have happened at all. It would be nice if the supposed deities would do something about difficult cases, but I think we're on our own. That's alright, though. I think we can make it even without their assistance. We don't need them in the end.

We've got quite the task ahead of us. But I think with even a few capable in mind and body, we'll manage to keep this situation well in hand.

No, it shouldn't. And the so-called gods refuse to act unless they themselves are attacked. So, no, they don't care what becomes of us as long as we keep feeding them emotions. I'd imagine that the demon provides Fear, Sorrow, Rage, and Confusion with feasts on a regular basis. But you're right. We don't need them.

I certainly hope that you are right.

We'll work together to make things right. Even if the odds are against us.
