[Connor is normally all 'important business' when he talks to the network, and to be fair that's going to be a part of this broadcast. However, there's something much more important to address first.

So the broadcast starts off by showing a clear bin--some sort of small tupperware or plastic container with damaged edges and no lid--filled with water, in which sits a glass shark. But it only sits for a few seconds, then gives a little wiggle like it's doing its best to swim, bumping its glass nose gently into the side of the container. It continues this still, then little swim, then still again pattern for a few repetitions until Connor picks up the phone to address the network properly.

As usual he has a hat covering his LED, but he's back to the beanie he'd bedazzled a few months ago; it has a big dipper on it, and it's awesome. Connor looks a little brighter than usual, even if it might be hard to tell, because he loves this event so far omg.]

Has anyone else noticed strange behavior from objects around them?

[And has it been this cute for anyone else, because this is cute and he wants the shark to stay this way forever please. Not really having many possessions or even furniture is working out for him this event.

But more seriously--]

It's been a few months since I last addressed the network about acquiring medical supplies for those who aren't human or near-human, and it seems we've had several new arrivals in that time who may need them. However, because these needs might be very individualized, those with specific requirements should make them known in advance so we can try to get any necessary supplies in stock.

If you're concerned about privacy you could respond anonymously, or leave a note or message at the Lab. Otherwise, just contact me with details of what you might need.

[That all said, broadcast over; Connor has to go come up with a name for his temporarily animate shark.]

[The video turns on to show the outskirts of town, nearby is a fence of sorts made of junk Pratt collected from the Colosseum and some baling wire. It's encircling a fancy new shooting range complete with training dummies and targets and some other items that aren't immediately identifiable.

Okay fancy isn't the right word, everything is made of remnants he found and some of the targets are empty soup cans on sticks but it looks serviceable.
]

This is Deputy Pratt. I know we're all busy freezing to death, but if you'd like to take your mind off that, I've finally got this all together. Range is up and running!

It's set up by the orchard, or well.. where the orchard should be anyway.

[He pans the camera towards the orchard to show where it is and then starts walking towards the range. The camera is surprisingly steady, this is someone who has filmed hundreds of Vine videos of him and other deputies doing stupid stuff on slow days. He's a pro at this shit.]

I've got training dummies up front for anyone who wants to get their melee fighting on. But uh.. try not to completely destroy them because I don't have a ton of wood to fix them up.

For the range itself I've got targets at 10 meters, 25 meters, 50 and 100. It's not perfect because I'm measuring this with my feet, but it's close enough. Spinner targets are for guns, and the bigger baled ones are dirt and wood so they shouldn't chew up your arrows too bad.

This thing is a work in progress.

[He sets a can onto a contraption off to the side of the range, stomping his foot on a pedal and sending it shooting down the lane and a little to the left. The camera gets unsteady here as he launches a knife that's far too big for this at the can and it tumbles to the ground.]

Keeps shooting them off to the side, but it's better than throwing something and then trying to hit it.

As for weapons... [He walks over to a large but very battered chest and opens the lid.]

I've got some throwing knives that aren't stupid like the hunting knife I have. A few bows. And some arrows in here. Keep them in this crate because the weather is not kind to bowstrings and you don't want these things snapping when you're shooting.

It's on the honor system because I'm not going to freeze my ass off monitoring this twenty-four seven. So try not to burn it down in the next two days.

[Please guys. He worked hard on this. Don't set it on fire.]

[Hey, it's one of the resident robots who happens to also be a walking crime lab, here with a very short announcement.]

Although I advise boiling it to avoid any potential biological contaminants, the lake water is drinkable in regards to any metal or chemical toxicity.

[And that's it. He's been helpful, sort of.]

[When the video starts up, Alphys is seen behind her desk, though there's something odd- the Lab is lit, though not with it's typical lights. Rather, there seems to be some sort of warm light source just out of frame above her that she's sitting directly in the center of. In the background, there's a bit of a hum that pervades the otherwise semi-quiet atmosphere.]

Hey, so, uhm... b-back when we were on the island, I was worried about going to this planet because, uh, I'm cold blooded? Sort of. I'm mostly magic but I don't really take cold super well because of the, uhm, makeup of the kind of monster I am, and-- uhhh forgetaboutit.

[She reaches forward to take the device, tilting it upwards to reveal some sort of rolling lamp like device that seems to be admitting the orange glow. It's craned over her head, the pole now visible having sat just off camera.]

I asked Hope for a heat lamp? And uh, well, that was good, except now we don't have power. But uhm, Sorrow told me I needed to make the computer more secure a while ago, so he gave me a generator, and... it took a, uh, couple of days, but n-now it's all hooked up!

[She tilts the camera to show there's a cord that's running along the floor from the rolling lamp to a generator just off the side of her desk, behind the computer- seems to be the source of the humming.]

So, uh... good news, I have some power. Bad news is, I don't know how long it'll last. That's where you all come in!

[Alphys brings the camera closer to her face, giving it a smile, despite still looking nervous about this whole prospect.]

I can offer the lab as a place to warm up. It's not big, but it's... something? And in exchange, I need help filling up the generator. It's meant to run on electricity and magic, but I think it could be sustained on magic alone, if someone would be willing to, uh... donate some? If that's p-possible. I really don't know if it is but maybe if someone's up for some, uh, experimentation. I promise, it's completely safe. Really. Just a generator.

[That's probably not reassuring. Her smile has become a little strained, but she just closes by rapidly waving, maybe ending the whole thing too soon.]

Okay so anyway come by the Lab if you can help or if you're just super cold and I can share okaythanksbye--

[She grabs for the device to shut it off, where a few people might catch the last, quiet line.]

Ohmygosh when are the gods coming back--

[ooc: a few more mod-related details of the generator can be found here!]

[Along with the shift in terrain comes a transmission, one hitting the network within minutes of the move.]

This is Nick Valentine. Guard, report in with your whereabouts and what you're seeing on your end. Let's get this place scoped out as quick as we can. The sooner we know what we're dealing with on this planet, the better we can adjust.

[Last time, they ended up on completely separate islands, everything having been split in ways he hadn't expected. From what he can tell, things have been rearranged again, though the setup around the Speakeasy definitely rings familiar in the back of his mind.]

For anyone else looking to help, the Guard can always use extra hands. People who don't mind sweeping the streets every now and then, who'll keep an eye on the Colosseum once a month, who can handle themselves and protect others in an emergency. We're not the cops, but someone has to keep the city safe from whatever comes in with the new arrivals, and if that's up your alley, then give me a call.

[That'll do. Time to see what this new world is like for himself. Click.]

[The curious phenomenon of the memory sharing has not gone unnoticed by Rosen. Of course he understands the concept of 'God' events and realizes his poking might lead to little more than a 'it's the gods' answer but he still feels he'll be remiss if he misses this opportunity]

I am looking for volunteers who might be willing to let me observe them in relation to this...uh...this 'memory sharing'. Of course this would require that whoever volunteers be alright with the possibility of their memories being seen.

[A pause to clear his throat before he proceeds again]

I can assure you the purpose of my research is not to get any personal information about you so the content of your memories is of little interest to me, but still it will likely be unavoidable.

Anyway. If you are interested please let me know.

Hey, all you heavenly angels and cocky asshats! Consider this your very first public service announcement on behalf of everyone's favorite pirate cook, Sanji.

[There he is, blowing cigarette smoke at his phone's camera with that shit-eating grin. All is well, or so it seems.]

I need food wrapping paper and air-tight containers. A shit ton of them.

Each and every lovely lady who has the generosity to go out of her way and deliver some to me will go home with any dish her heart desires so long as I have the ingredients! You other bastards can just be grateful knowing you might not actually starve later.

[He wiggles his fingers in a rather silly goodbye gesture.]

As I'm sure we're all aware, the demon has been temporarily been . . . put out of commission. Now, this is not the place to debate the wisdom of vigilante justice. Dr. Sweets appears to have that well in hand. No, what this is is the place to discuss what measures may be taken to prevent the demon from taking its rage out on the entirety of Hadriel.

The gods will do nothing. Tranquility told me himself that they will only take action if they themselves are threatened. So we're left to fend for ourselves. We must make our plans ourselves and it would be far better to have those plans coordinated well in advance of its release.

So I am directing this to anyone who has ideas for what to do when the demon is inevitably released back into the populace. Surely there are those with powers or skills which could prevent it from going on a murderous rampage. Now is the time for those people to step forward and offer their ideas.

Thank you for your time and attention.

[At least, it's dusk where the Corazon is presently sitting, anchored at a tiny island that barely qualifies for the name so they can make post-storm repairs. Thus, the only real light casting gold tones and wicked shadows on Law's face comes from a nearby (but not too nearby) lantern. He is all business, stern and blustery, holding the phone like he's speaking into a den-den mushi, so it's a little too close and makes the shadows leap across his face like he's some kind of ghoul.]

This is Trafalgar Law. Hopefully my signal reaches the city.

We are on our way back with no less than two fragments. I want to know how many others have been collected, in case there are any still unrecovered. We must get those fragments quickly. Thanks to our experiences abroad I have reason to believe that our time in this world is limited and we'll need to move again. [BIG FROWN] Our fleet encountered three Null sentries lying in wait to ambush our diver on the sea floor. We destroyed them all, but the fact remains that this planet isn't as inaccessible to them as we would have liked to think.

My intention is to deliver these fragments to the laboratory for Alphys-ya to study. I strongly recommend that all fragments are kept in the same place. They cause irrational bursts of unstable emotion in anyone who handles them, so if any are scattered, there is a good chance someone could haul off and turn homicidal before anyone can stop them. And if there's someone out there who thinks they're going to be sneaky and hide a fragment from the gods or from the researchers, they had better think twice. Our mutual survival hinges upon discovering how these fragments can restore the Door and what happens when they do. [is he smirking? he might be slightly smirking, because he's here to make a public call-out post so that no one can hold the fragments hostage. Malicious compliance, indeed.] Like I say, if any are missing, speak now and I'll personally see to it that they're all recovered.

We're probably only about three days out, but we just suffered through a week-long typhoon and the ships have taken damage. We've landed to make repairs, if all goes well we'll return in just a few days.

Interested in your reports. Law, out.

[Aside from having a new--or maybe not new, but different--hat that may have suffered a little bedazzling, Connor looks pretty much the same as last time he spoke on the network. He has something somewhat less abstract to talk about this time, but it's even more serious.]

Although the Clinic is well-suited to the needs of many here, and that's a great accomplishment in this situation, it's unable to provide assistance to a portion of the population that needs non-standard medical treatment.

[Mostly, as far as he knows, that's a problem for individuals who might be mechanically-based, although he isn't ruling out that there might be other types of beings he doesn't know about who also can't be helped with standard medical treatment. So he's being general right now, trying to account for everyone, which also helps in keeping things vague as far as individual people and what they might need.]

Because worlds vary, finding those with the skills they need to help these people might be difficult, but at the very least we can make sure those who can't go to the Clinic have the basic supplies necessary to take care of themselves. But again, because worlds vary, we won't know what all those supplies are unless we compile a list. I know there's an option on these phones to hold private conversations, if anyone may be concerned about giving specifics information about themselves, so supplies on the list can be added mostly anonymously.

[With any luck that means he can add some things to the list himself and no one will know who they're for. He'd like to avoid ending up in a situation in which he bleeds to death from an otherwise treatable injury just because there's no thirium available here.]

Additionally, since necessary items are likely to require making arrangements with the gods, if anyone is willing to help with that please let me know.

[ Floki was furious. Never had he felt so passionately insulted before! It was as if everyone on these stupid Islands had been brainwashed!

He had heard several peoples views on the Gods most just called them that for ease as no one truly believe them to be deities at all, yet here everyone was, joining forces with them like loyal little followers!

No, he had had enough! Something had to be done about it. Unbeknownst to Floki, he himself would end up being a puppet to a false God here too. ]

May all your ships sink! Your sails be struck by Thor's mighty thunder and tore asunder from the pounding storms and howling winds! I dare you to cross Floki! Come, come to me so that I might shower upon you my burning rage! False Gods and false people are one in the same, you're all going to die in your quest of lies and unholy adventure!

[ He spat off to the side. Oh, he was enraged! Never before had he seen so many people willing to engage in blasphemy, it was enough to send him into a fit of rage-fueled murder!

Gods help anyone who crossed him and his homemade boat today, he was in no mood to tolerate anyone's bullshit. Especially if it had to do with the current activities of the City. ]

[For those who frequent the tops of the various climbable buildings in Hadriel, they might recognize that this broadcast is from the roof of one of them due to the angle; otherwise it's just a rapidly darkening cloudy sky for a backdrop, sun setting and rain clearly threatening to roll in at any time.

It's pretty, and that may or may not be the reason why Connor is out on a roof in the first place, but it's definitely not the point of this impromptu broadcast. He's just been wondering some things, and it's in his nature to actively search out answers rather than waiting for them to come to him, so he's decided to just go for it.]

Hello everyone; my name is Connor, and I just arrived a few days ago.

[Always good to start with introductions, and also to avoid saying exactly how many days or hours it's been since a given time when pretending to be human. He's getting a little better at this.]

I've been catching up on the situation at hand, and although the context is somewhat different, there are parallels to current events in my world that are difficult to ignore. Before I arrived, we were dealing with what might be the beginning of a civil war between humans and machines.

[He's trying to tread carefully, projecting enough genuine interest without sounding over-invested. He's just asking, after all, nothing more; there's definitely no personal reason why he wants to know.]

So I'm curious; I'm aware that what the Null have done is enough reason to be against them, but does what they are play any role in your feelings toward them?
