I've made some relevant updates to the bestiary now that we're on a planet with local fauna.

[So here's an attachment with the updated version!]

At the moment, I've only heard tell of the mammoth things roaming around out there. All current notes are either based on secondhand accounts or pictures that have been sent to me. I'd like some real specimens to take a look at, if anyone's game.

Apparently there's other critters too, though they seem to be rare as I haven't encountered any myself. If anyone runs into anything alive on this planet, let me know and I'll add it.

Well flying further out I haven't encountered anything besides those ugly beasts so far. But I haven't gone too, it is rather draining to do so.

Apparently there are things living in that lake however. But don't expect me to go diving down there to get you any samples without some payment. I've had enough walking at the bottom of an ocean to last me awhile.

[ He did actually have to walk the bottom of the ocean in Antarctica. So he does have experience with this. ]

How far out have you been able to fly? Anything cool lurking out in the distance?

Just to the mountains and back, as if there's anything worth looking for past them. Those glittering lights in the distance are apparently buildings however. They're bluish and metallic and in a rather a poor pathetic state, nothing to really worth noting. I didn't bother taking a closer look for now. I rather not waste too much of my energy rummaging around decrepit, old, buildings.

Yes what other lake is there? Apparently there's things living in it. But what they are I couldn't tell you. ]

Whoa buildings? Thats absolutely worth noting dude. Those buildings are the whole reason we came here in the first place. But youre right that our time is better spent conserving resources for the time being.
Bummer. I'd love to get out there.
The lake though. The lake I can check out myself. What have you seen living in it?

It took entirely too long for myself to get there. You humans wouldn't stand a chance making it there on foot. Or at least it would take you quite awhile and you'd probably be frozen solid by then.

[ A pause in his reply as he chuckles to himself about that. ]

Do I look like a fish expert to you? I may dabble in science but I am no biologist, especially to an alien species. All I know that they're quite big. It could be anything living in there.

Well crap. Whatever we can table that for now I'm sure the gods will hook us up with the means to go the distance once they're back in town.
Jeez dude you couldve just said some kind of big fish.
How big are we talking?

Big enough to eat one of you humans without any trouble. They looked rather big from where I was standing. I would suggest bringing some...back up, if you decide to play scientist and catch one.

Oh GREAT thats just what we need around here giant maneating fish. Ughhhh.
I'll deal with the fish later. The other stuff surrounding the city is more pressing.

You humans have a knack for surviving through whatever is thrown at you. Like those bugs most of you hate...cockroaches I believe they're called.

I'm sure this place will be easy to get used to, maneating fish or not.

[ Starscream speak for 'you'll figure it out', and he doesn't reply to the thanks either. He's never really been thanked before so it's weird and he doesn't know how to respond?! For once in his life he is silent, amazing. ]

I'm not really worried about settling into the environment so much as what the gods being gone means for our chances at getting home, for the record.
Figuring out the environment is just all we can do in the meantime.

As if the gods have been helpful at all. Not only did they trap us in an unlivable frozen wasteland, but they can't even figure out, or even get near, the one thing that could bring us home.

They're the ones that brought us into this mess in the first place! You humans falling into their trap and just going along with what they want, no wonder some of you have been stuck here for so long.

If I had the means of building my space bridge everyone could be back home by now.

Yeah I'm definitely gonna trust a space bridge over the only people who know anything about the situation we're in. Like yeah they brought us here but they're starving dude desperate times and all.
I'm not HAPPY about it but biologically speaking this scenario is far from ideal for them. We're a handful and a half you know?
Whatever I'm not getting into this argument again my point is that we need the gods to access the Door and that's the only way we know of to move in and out of the city.
Unless you can transform into an excavator we're shit outta luck pal.
