I've made some relevant updates to the bestiary now that we're on a planet with local fauna.

[So here's an attachment with the updated version!]

At the moment, I've only heard tell of the mammoth things roaming around out there. All current notes are either based on secondhand accounts or pictures that have been sent to me. I'd like some real specimens to take a look at, if anyone's game.

Apparently there's other critters too, though they seem to be rare as I haven't encountered any myself. If anyone runs into anything alive on this planet, let me know and I'll add it.

Thanks.

Both, actually.
My powers are best used for defense.
And killing is frowned upon in 2997.
Other stuff can see me.
I'm technically skirting the edge of the dimension instead of going all the way in it.
My home planet is on the other side, in perfect rotational and orbital sync with Earth.

Good point.
I'm from Bgztl.
While we may be "neighbors" with Earth, we're not Earth.
We have our own continents and governments and we evolved as a matriarchy.
My family was the head of a planet-wide constitutional monarchy until about three hundred years ago.
I can't leave.
I'm assuming that wherever we are, the extra dimension still exists.

Bg-zuh-tl.
Neighbors in that we share the same space, just in separate dimensions.
We learned of them before they did of us.
I'm assuming that we're in some sort of reality where my home planet does exist, but I can't access it.
We're not on Earth, so I wouldn't be able to go home.
There's no telling when I'd show up there, anyway.
unphase: (you say we'll take a holiday)

My native language doesn't have many of them.
We're all taught the Common Tongue when we're in what you'd call kindergarten.
Yes.
I can go between the dimensions, but it's not a good idea.
People used to use the space in between as a prison.

No weirder than Welsh.
No, I said that I skirt the edges of it.
Just enough to become intangible, but not so far that I'd get stuck in between.

Thank you.
It's very useful.
Potentially, yes.
The area between Bgztl and Earth is called the Phantom Zone.
It was used as a prison primarily in the 20th century.

People were sent to the inner side of the dimension using a device of some kind.
Use of it died out sometime in the 21st century, though.
No one knows why.
And yes.
I'd go right through them.
It's easy.
unphase: (I walked into your dream)

Yeah, kind of.
Mostly, we evolved the same as humans.
It's only that our brains evolved slightly differently, so that we can perceive and cross over into the other dimension.
Small things, like phone-sized.
I've tried phasing my katana, it doesn't work.

Just lucky, I guess.
Yeah, I do.
Is that weird?

I will.
So far, I haven't seen anything else dangerous, but I'll keep an eye out.
