After nearly being eaten alive by a monster chest I find this joke to be very un-funny. Also, my CODEC doesn't seem to be functioning here. Are all radio transmissions disabled? If so, I seek to restore communication with my device, so that I may get out of here.

[He had tried using his CODEC to contact Shadow Moses but nothing. Contacting Ocelot or the other members of FOXHOUND was a no go.]

Okay, so seeking out who brought you here is gonna be kind of hard, since it's a what instead of a who. It's like, some sort of inter-dimensional door no one knows how to work, so...

And yeah, only these phones of Hope's work here. I mean, it's possible some other electronics do if they have battery? But they wouldn't have like, connection or signals or anything.

[He's still holding out hope his iPhone will work enough to access the files on it once it gets some power, but it's pretty much for sure it won't make calls.]

An inter-dimensional door you say? Hm, interesting. I've never heard of such a thing before. Most things like that only exist within fantasy, yet you say we were brought here through it?

[Liquid thought for a moment. That would explain a lot of things. At least this guy was being helpful instead of scornful.]

I noticed the phone upon arrival. It's like no phone I've seen before, yet where I come from people use CODEC. Much more easier to use and more technologically advanced. [Because he had one and used it to talk to people.]

Yeah, it's sci-fi stuff where I'm from too. But as far as everyone understands and if the gods are telling the truth and whatever, that's how it works to get here, but no one can control it.

People here are from like, lots of different technology levels. What's a CODEC?

A CODEC? It's a communication device which stimulates the small bones in your ear when you receive a transmission so only you can hear it. It's useful in stealth situations and also for private broadcast.

[He doesn't go anywhere without it. Not when he's trying to trick his brother.]

Might I ask what your name is? You've been one of the few people that's actually been friendly towards me.

Oh. That sounds super useful, yeah; we have earpieces that are really subtle, but nothing quite like that.

CODEC is useful and I'm surprised a place like this doesn't use it since they opted for these phones instead.

Maybe it's the versatility? Since there's video and text and pictures and all that on phones like these.

Super joyful. We actually have the god Delight here, though she's a pretty recent addition. She's cool though, definitely the best god here so far.

[Hope's okay and trying to look out for them but he's also kind of a jerk. Delight's just nice all around.]

Perhaps. [Liquid thought about it for a minute before dismissing any other thoughts.]

Delight? What might she bring if I might ask? [Good things? Hopefully not monster chests or things that try to kill you. Liquid wanted to know how many of these gods there were.]

She brought us a bar and a really annoying party, but she's cool. Really nice.

The ones that are actually here are Hope, Fear, Rage, and Delight. We know Confusion and Love have got to exist too, because they've been options when one of the gods asks us who they should revive next.

[And there's probably more that just haven't been mentioned yet.]

Wonderful. So many possible outcomes with all these different gods. Let's hope that we don't end up destroying the place the next time these gods decide to throw us a party.

[Because the monster chests were bad enough.]

Well, to be fair, most of us are like... Generally not causing a lot of problems without god intervention in the first place.
