hey so i'm looking for an update on that whole "find the tentacle monsters" quest everyone was talking about a few weeks ago
is there actually an official search party going on or what?
beyond accidentally running into them, i mean

oh, and with everyone's shit coming to life and attacking them, i'd like to remind people for the millionth time that i'm willing to teach magic
i'm good at the setting stuff on fire kind
if you want the less destructive stuff, go to harlan. neither of us are going to charge or anything
a spell won't try to randomly stab you like a knife apparently will here
i mean, unless you fuck up really bad

Oh! Well, anything you'd want to show. There's no magic in my world, you see, I've never seen it. I admit I'm curious. Is it very showy? I've always imagined it would be.

it depends on the type of magic
where i'm from, they're put into different classes
evocation, the kind i specialize in, is basically channeling energy to heal or create elemental effects or whatever
but some schools of magic are more subtle, like enchantment
that's basically charming people or manipulating them
like mind control stuff, you know?

Evocation, enchantment, that's fascinating! How many classes are there? Does enchantment cover creating enchanted objects as well? Is mind control considered something that one shouldn't do? (I would think so but I'm interested to hear the perspective from your world!)
