[It's really tempting to do this post in text but there's a few reasons why he decides not to, including the main point of this post that he intends to bury under some other things. So he offers the camera a small, hesitant smile of greeting before starting.]

Hey. I um... I hope everyone's doing okay after that whole... Thing. H-Has it um, worn off for everyone now?

[He hopes so; it seems to have for everyone he's talked to, but that doesn't necessarily mean much.]

On a less depressing subject, Em and I finished some more emojis. The new pack is here; all you have to do is download and install it like last time.

Also uh, we're working on a deal with Delight about getting like, good coffee at the bar, so... That's hopefully a thing, soon.

[They just all need a chance to recover from the event before they can really manage that whole thing. Especially since he can't exactly walk right now, which leads to the actual main point of making this post.]

I also wanted to um... I know there are like, some doctors and people with healing powers and whatever here, and I was hoping I could talk to one who might be willing to help out with something. So... Yeah.

[That's that. He seems to be considering if there's anything else he wants to add, but then decides against it and ends the feed.]

[It's okay, he doesn't have any trouble following; Ashley gets a little rapid-fire with her questions too, and Chris probably would as well if it weren't for that he'd probably stammer too much to be understood.]

There's no cure at home, but there was here; Hope said he'd cure anyone that could be gotten to his Temple but uh... That was a lot easier said than done.

[He'd tried, but it hadn't gone well.]

A lot of people here just decided to go vegetarian, which really sucks by the way, though it's better than turning into a monster. And um, no, the wendigos are in the caves as like, spirits, but everyone who'd turned into one...

[He sighs again.]

Rage killed them all, eventually, and then Hope brought them back to life cured.

[Nope, false alarm: he can look more horrified. He backs into the couch, as though it'd shield him from his own terror.]

Wait, he what!? That's necromancy!

[...Okay maybe he said too much too fast.]

Well... Yeah, I guess so, technically.

[Which is apparently a lot scarier to Carlisle than it is to him, maybe because he's just gotten used to it by now.]

But I mean, um, it's not like... Everyone that gets brought back is fine. Not like zombies or working for him or anything.

[He's read a lot of fantasy novels.]

[Still horrified over here.]

That's still- it's unnatural!

No argument there, but um... Nothing about this place is natural.

[And if things like wendigos exist, then at least it isn't the end for people who die here. He kind of wishes it were the same at home, but that's another issue entirely.]

[He lets out a worried sigh. False gods who double as necromancers are just one more thing to worry about.]

Sorry, lad. I don't know if you have necromancers where you come from, but they're a problem in my world. One that has yet to be dealt with.

[He shakes his head.]

We're uh... Not supposed to have anything where I come from. No magic, no monsters, nothing. Obviously that's not like, true, so maybe we do have necromancers or whatever but if so it's pretty under wraps.

[But if they're a problem in Carlisle's world he can understand the concern.]

I'm guessing the necromancers in your world aren't uh, just bringing people back to life to be nice or something, though.

[Carlisle averts his eyes, guilt hitting him.]

Ah, yes. They revel in their disregard for nature, and are often cursed to boot.

[He notices the change in expression and wonders if there's a story there, but doesn't ask.]

So they just like, screw with stuff just to screw with it? Or is there something in specific they're trying to do?

I do not claim to know the reasoning behind their madness. All I know is that one in particular has plagued my homeland, and there are few left capable of standing against him. That is one reason I went into what I did, with being a healer. It's a lot harder to raise someone as an undead if they do not die in the first place.

[It's good logic somewhere in his mind. Somewhere.]

[He smiles just a little at that; it sounds like good logic to him too.]

That's totally true. I uh, don't think anyone here would have a problem with you trying to prevent Hope from having to resurrect anyone here either.

[It's nice that people don't stay dead, but better if they don't die at all.]

I should think not, but I have been surprised before by people's eagerness to die.

[He pushes himself off the couch, his stance still a little unsteady as he pulls off his glasses and squeezes the bridge of his nose.]

I'll take my leave now, if that's all right. Not that I don't enjoy company or a good conversation, but the work is taxing.

[Chris stands when Carlisle does, mostly to make sure he doesn't need to steady him; he looks a bit... Wobbly.]

Yeah, of course. Are you uh, okay to walk back? If you want to rest here no one's gonna' mind.

[He just wants to make sure.]

[Carlisle offers Chris his best attempt at a reassuring smile.]

I appreciate your concern, but I will be fine. As you're the one who just recovered from an injury, you should rest.

[It sounds a little like he recited that from memory.]

Is that actually a thing when you get healed by magic?

[The resting part. He is pretty exhausted, but that's a mental thing more than physical.]

But um... Okay. If you're sure you're good.

Well, you don't actually have to rest of you're not feeling inclined to do so, but I generally encourage it in the hopes it will keep you from further injury. As for me, I'll be fine on my way back. I'm as good as my word.

[Which must be, at the very least, okay. He did say he was a healer, and he did show up and do healing stuff, so... that's something. Making sure he's got all his possessions, he gives another polite bow and heads out. He'll chatter your ear off another day, Chris -- you know, when he doesn't feel like he's probably going to need to pass out on his couch for a while.]
