Hmm...
[ It's not often that your resident Witcher comes asking for help on the network. Well, he's not exactly asking for help so to speak but he's definitely in a quandary.
Standing outside one of the spires, Roach behind him trying to graze from the earth below her feet. ]
Now, how do you get a horse up a flight of stairs?
[ Now that things seemed to have settled down and peoples belongings were no longer trying to kill everyone, Geralt thought it was high time he actually took up abode inside one of the buildings... Y'know, instead of roughing it as he had been. ]

That is a problem, but the vast majority of the creatures brought in by the Door are killed not long after they enter. The nautilus creatures would be my largest concern, but they seem more interested in us than they are in anything else.

Still, I wouldn't put it past any kind of monster not to attack a rogue horse.
[ It also makes Geralt wonder, why exactly the Gods never try and stop the monsters coming through - and why no one has tried to cash in on exterminating them. ]
Am I the only person with an animal as big as a horse here?

Mmm. True. It's not as though horses are plentiful here.
[Mariane assumes that the fear and confusion the monsters cause in the newcomers are why the local gods don't try to stop them]
I'm not entirely sure? I haven't seen any. Of course that doesn't mean that they do not exist.

That's a shame, truly. Wonderful animals, smart, robust.
[ That's very true, however, Geralt gets a mix of emotions when killing monsters, joy, sorrow, rage. ]
I've found a lack of animals here strange. Can't blame me for wanting to keep mine close to me... Even if that does mean finding strange accommodation for them.

They are. I grew up with horses at Castle Cousland and I'd imagine I'll have the chance to have them again in Denerim.
[and she usually gets a feeling of accomplishment, of a necessary task done well]
I've found it strange, too. We have the mammoths as the main predators, but what do they eat? Surely they can't catch enough of those small rodents to sustain themselves. So one would think that a third kind of animal is out there somewhere.
