Video: A Viking and four tentacle monsters walk into a bar...
[Backdated to the 26th.]
[The video opens up with the Viking sitting on the ground. It's clear he's not used to working the device, but Alfred's given him enough instruction for him to work it competently. He's scratched up and bloody, but most of the gore on his face doesn't look like it's his. In fact, he looks rather pleased with himself, all things considered.]
If anyone sees one of those tentacle creatures with a knife stuck in its eye, please retrieve it for me. I was rather fond of that particular one.
[He pauses and grimaces.]
Also, are there any healers adept at fixing broken bones?

Also, while she likes Ivar, she sounds more annoyed than concerned. Sympathy? What's that?]
Show me your surroundings better. I can't make out where you are but I can come to you quickly if I see them.

He'll take annoyance more than sympathy any day. Sympathy is too close to pity and he hates that more than anything.]

Hard to be pinpoint accurate given what she had to work with, but she can see the little speck of a human some distance off on the barren ground, and trots her way over to him. Just in case the monster makes a return - and she rather hopes it does - her sword is in one hand. But no sign of it comes as she crosses the permafrost.]
I can get you to the clinic. But I want to hear about this creature once you're well enough. I want to hunt it down and tear that eye right out of its head.
[There's a bit of a smirk and a chill of excitement at the thought, and she holds out a hand to him.]

Still, he seems rather pleased with himself. Surrounding him are more than a few tentacles and bits of flesh torn out from his opponents. Four on one and they had still fled when they realized how insanely bloodthirsty the Viking was during a fight.
He waves at Caedra with his good hand, a smile like a happy crocodile upon his face.]
I will join you on such an expedition when I am well.
[He grabs her hand, struggling to get back to his feet. Once he's on them, it's clear he's favoring his right leg heavily, trying not put any weight on it whatsoever.]
no subject
Good. We can kill more together than we would have singly. I can wait for you to recover. It ought to be quick, anyway. There are people at the clinic who can heal far worse than this.
[She gestures to his bad leg, which must be very bad indeed if he's showing that weakness so openly. At least he's trying to stand on both, though. He's strong for a mortal.]
I'm going to teleport us. It will be startling.
[Probably, anyway. He never has before, as far as she knows, and there's always a tiny risk that they will come out of the teleport in the same space as another person who just happened to be walking by, in which case everyone becomes a mangled mess of limbs and torsos. Very unpleasant.
Thankfully, this time, that is not the case. She keeps hold of his hand and draws closer to him as she speaks the incantation and focuses on the image of the clinic building. There's a shift, a mild sense of nausea perhaps, but then that's where they find themselves, and she'll help him stagger his way inside.]

[The only sign he's at all nervous about teleporting is the death grip he has on her hand. But it appears she's hasn't gotten them stuck in the middle of a wall, so that's alright. He's staying upright mainly out of sheer stubborn orneriness right now, his crutch on his right side despite the broken bones in his hand to provide more support.]
Is there a healer in this place or what?
no subject
[At least she has no problem with Law's odd hours. Schedules are a hard thing for her to stick to anyway so the fact that he doesn't seem to stick to one doesn't faze her in the slightest. Still, he's the only one that she has met who can easily repair serious injuries like broken bones in a short period of time.
She wants Ivar to be well. If Ivar is well, then they can hunt and kill. It's a simple but effective motivation for her. She steps forward and holds the door open for him.]
Hello?
[Hm. What is one supposed to say when nobody is obviously in sight? "Emergency?" Is this one? Well, they'll figure it out. Someone will show up if anyone is here at all.]

He'll move quickly though, taking his device out to type on it. He doesn't ask if the other is feeling alright, it's obvious from the state of him that he's not. He doesn't actually look too worried but Shigeru is serious now as he observes Ivar's wound. ]
Can you move him to one of the examine rooms? I can heal him in there better. [ And it'll prevent anymore blood from staining the floors and getting everywhere. ]
no subject
When the man appears, he looks from the device to Caedra. Looks like he's been saddled with a mute.]
What's he saying?
[He can read runes, but not the English alphabet. The Viking king never had cause to learn.]

[For how reactive and impulsive she is, reading just takes too long when she's not in the mood. An odd attitude for a poet, perhaps, but this isn't poetry, it's basic communication. And her preferred style of basic communication involves eviscerating people.]
It's not translating for you? Sometimes it does. Here, come with me. He needs you to sit down in one of the rooms.
[All of her patience is currently monopolized by trying to help guide Ivar over, anyway. He's slow with his injuries but she will do her best to lead him to an examination room as requested.]

The purple sigil and the shift of his eyes from normal to black with purple sclera starts up as he used his powers to easily heal Ivar's broken bones. His leg and hand will be fully healed in a matter of minutes before Shigeru pulls away with a small huff as the sigil behind him disappears and his eyes return to normal. He'll type something, realizing that Ivar can't read, he'll pause before pointing to his leg and hand. ]
Ask him how it feels? And tell him to try moving them to make sure they're okay. [ He'll type to Caedra as he gives her a curious look. ]
no subject
He looks to Caedra again so that she can translate when Shigeru types. Perhaps he should get a foothold on learning how to read English. It's not like he's got anything better to do with his time here. He nods when she tells him.]
No more pain than usual. [Ivar flexes the fingers of his hand experimentally and his leg makes the smallest of twitches to confirm. He feels like there's something else he should be saying. Oh right. Manners.]
Thank you.
no subject
But he fixed Ivar, so she turns to the boy and gives him a once-over, and a nod.]
Good.
[Then, to Shigeru:]
Are you a necromancer?
[May as well try the direct approach.]
no subject
But that thought is curbed when Caedra throws that question out there. Necromancy was...strange in his world. The phrobiests who were afraid of death...they were strong, impossibly so, unable to be killed and unable to die if only for a few minutes. He's heard of stories of them but never actually seen anyone with the power. His powers were a close stem of what necromancer's had but they weren't the same. After all he could die and age like anyone else. ]
I'm not. That type of power is...really rare in my world. I don't even know if such a thing exists, all I've ever heard are stories of things like Necromancers.

I will keep an eye out while I'm on patrol. Could you describe the knife?
no subject
It's made of pig steel and embossed with silver runes on the handle.
[A costly blade but made of quality metal not usually found in Viking weapons.]
no subject
I will do my best to bring it back to you. Where were you when you were attacked?
no subject
[He can't move very fast or far even with his leg braces.]
no subject
That close? The creatures are getting bolder. And while they have been successful at killing us, we have not managed to kill one of them. Yet.

I cannot, but I do believe help is already on the way. But talk to me until they get here.

(Sansa grabs her sword and sheathes it at her waist instead of under her skirts. Then she is out the door.)
Don't move and try to keep warm. We can talk about hot days if that helps?
