[Maketh doesn't look well, but she's putting forth a solid effort. She's got her hair up and a coat slung over her shoulder, half buttoned, to cover the mess of bandages. But her face is pale and strained. She's been injured and hasn't yet recovered.]

Hello, Hadriel. I hope you're all well, or at least -- recovering.

Recent events have made two things clear to me. First, that the gods will attempt to turn us against each other. And secondly, that they can influence our minds in ways far more direct that I had anticipated. A protocol must be created so this will not happen again.

[She takes a deep breath and winces.]

However, I don't have the proper training to make such a thing. So I am reaching out to everyone here. If you have ideas, I would like to hear them.

[There's a pause.]

Hello, Lilith. It's slower than I'd like. I'll be speaking to one of the healers later to see what's to be done about...some of it.

'Sup, Maketh.

[She frowns in concern.]

Zed's good-- he's the doctor who distributes those hypos-- but he didn't design it to heal really deep wounds like that. [Boy, does she wish she'd shelled out for one of the better healing kits right now.]

Don't... don't push it 'till that gets done, all right? I've reopened my share of wounds and lemme tell you. It ain't fun.

It's better than the alternative, I think. [Maketh is really, really happy she didn't die. Possible nerve damage aside, she's in much better shape than she wold be otherwise.] That I can imagine. And your own injuries?

[cashlin]

Yyyyeah. We wanna avoid, y'know, dying.

[The levity's only a little convincing.]

Healing okay. Wish I could say it was all skill, but I definitely got lucky. [She shrugs her coat off: the shoulder that bears her Siren markings also bears a whole lot of bandage.] Nothing vital, but damn. The two guys I tussled with definitely knew what they were doing. Henry tell you about it yet?

[It's hard to make a good assessment over the video feed, but Maketh tries.] You took a hard hit. No, he hasn't yet. What happened?

One of them was after him, and the other was after me, I'm guessing.

I got in the middle of the first one and Henry, and he got out quick; the second came between us, but was ready to take us both down. Pretty sure one of them didn't make it out alive after I phased away. It wasn't pretty.

[Maketh winces. This whole event has been disgustingly violent.] Nonetheless, thank you for intervening. I would rather not lose my friends.

[She hesitates.[

Do you know of anything that could cause this? The sudden hatred of a complete stranger?

[cashlin]

You'd have done the same for me. [And, well, she'd been after Kanda due to Rage's influence, anyway...] Don't mention it.

[But she shakes her head. Maketh's quite possibly more in the know than Lilith; she'd hardly questioned it until she'd realized it was happening to others.]

Hell if I know. If it's here, it's always the gods, but I'm in the dark for anything more than that.
