[The video opens on a pile of wood, sticks, shrubbery, and chunks of what might have been siding, all piled into a very obvious pyramid surrounded by rocks.]

So everything has sucked recently. Back home in Montana, when shit got rough we'd always get together and have a big bonfire. Get drunk, make s'mores, all that stuff. It didn't make things better but at least you forgot about it for a little while.

Worth a try right?

[He sounds like he's honestly asking. He's trying really hard to be positive for once.]

I've got some graham crackers, chocolate, and other things for roasting. No marshmallows though so if anyone wants to come through in the clutch it would be appreciated.

I'm lighting this up tonight at dusk, so if you want in, be there. I've only got so much to burn and it might not last more than an hour or two.

[she can hear the attempt at optimism and she's so glad to hear it! it doesn't hurt that she thinks this is a great idea, even if no one finds any marshmallows.

she arrives in a fluffy white sweater, black skinny jeans, and a pair of black knee boots.

when she arrives, she immediately goes over to Pratt, saying] This is great. It really is. Thank you.

[later, she can be found mingling in the crowd with a warm smile on her face, open to all who approach]

Figured we needed to do something to let off steam other than shooting at targets. Everyone's been on fucking edge lately.

[He means himself. He's been on edge.]

I hope someone comes through with marshmallows.

Sweet Mistress, I know! That--the latest thing the aliens pulled. That was horrible. Unforgivable.

[then she'd hope she can help soothe him]

So do I. I've only had s'mores once--mother didn't approve of camping--but they were a lot of fun to make.

Yeah that was... not great. Reminded me too much of back home.

[He shudders. He never wants to feel that scared again for the rest of his life. ]

She doesn't seem to have approved of anything. What did you get to do anyway?

[her expression immediately turns concerned] Oh no. What happened? If it's--if it's okay to ask?

[she was hurt pretty badly by what happened, too. if he mentions that Caedra was involved in his trauma, she's going to get pretty angry]

Honestly? Follow her around, carry what she needed me to carry, and occasionally act dumb at diplomatic receptions to get information out of people.

Caedra chased me across town trying to stab me. It was not a good time.

[For him anyway. Caedra seemed to enjoy it up until the point that Carlisle put up a barrier she couldn't get through.]

So basically be her personal assistant and secretary?

[at the mention of Caedra, her expression goes from concerned to downright murderous. her hands fist at her sides and she's repressing some very strong emotions]

That--that--I can't even think of a word bad enough for her! Why can't she just leave people alone? I hate her.

[Whoa. He was unprepared for Tinya to have any angry emotions whatsoever. Between this and Peter he's starting to think he got the better end of the deal last week by being someone who ran away from everything.]

Because she likes killing people. It's fun. She enjoys it.

I've known plenty of people like that.

[oh, she's got a temper on her. she's been lucky until now that no one has managed to provoke it. and what makes it even worse is that the someone whose actions provoked it, she has no chance against in a fair fight]

So have I. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

No but.. honestly I don't think there's a lot we can do about it.

Or I can't anyway. I'm not even sure I could get close enough to shoot her without being vaporized or set on fire.

And I know there's nothing I can do. Plus, we all saw how well that popsicle thing worked out.

It was nice while it lasted though.

It sure was. A whole month of peace and quiet and no kill-crazy demons running amok?

[she sighs deeply]

The important part is that you're all right. And--and so is everyone else.

Are they though? Seems like a lot of people got killed.

[oh nass, WHY DID HE HAVE TO SAY THAT? she's trying to stay outwardly calm, but it's a struggle]

Yeah. Yeah, a lot of people got killed. And it does.

[He wants to ask, but he won't. Because he's not emotionally prepared to console anyone who went on a murder spree. He'll likely break down himself.]

Maybe they'll all show up and get some marshmallows. Won't fix it but at least it's something.

[it wasn't her who went on a murder spree. she just happened to see the tail end of one and couldn't do anything to save them]

That would be nice. [she rubs her arms with her hands for warmth] I wonder how many people died?

I'd guess quite a few. Could probably ask Hope, I'd think he'd be keeping track.

Or put it on the network, though I'm not sure many would admit to having killed anyone.

I can't ask him. We don't exactly get along.

[said with no small amount of heat] Caedra would. She'd brag about it.

Yeah but she probably doesn't keep track. I don't think she cares enough for that.

I've never talked to Hope, is he a jackass?

That just makes it worse. That they don't even register to her. That they're just one more kill.

He's a total jackass. And condescending. I hate that.

She enjoys it in the moment, and then forgets about it. At least that's what I assume if she's anything like the people I knew back home who were all about killing all the time. A brief moment of fun and then it's over.

Eugh. Makes it worse when you can't even punch him in his smug face.

That just makes it worse, that killing is so meaningless.

Oh, I know. I would definitely love to try it, but he'd probably poof into a sparkly glowcloud the second I took a swing.

He should let us all get one punch in. It's not like he can feel it. Or even if he can it's not his real face anyway.

It'd be good for morale.

It would be! Just one punch from each of us and maybe a little trash-talking, too. With all that we've been made to put up with, he has it coming.
