❅ Eighteen (Voice)
(She won't be the first or the last to deal with this, most likely. The heat of the jungle has overwhelmed the Northern lady and she is having to rest - thus it's understandable that her voice is weak.)
I have never felt so...faint. The heat is incredibly oppressive. I feel as if I can't breathe or think.
(Pausing to take a drink of water, she swallows with some difficulty.)
Is there a...remedy?

[voice]
Light, loose, non-restrictive clothing. Don't overexert. Drink plenty of water. If you know anyone with a decent working fridge that has ice in it, wrap some in a towel and apply it to the back of the neck.
I can't stress enough not to overexert. Heat stroke can kill even a powerful person who doesn't sit their ass down when they need to.
[voice]
(And say farewell to her noble dignity.)
[voice]
If you feel faint or you stop sweating, come to the clinic immediately. I can reverse heat stroke before it becomes deadly.
[voice]
I shall do my best to not reach that point. I didn't know one could cease to sweat?
(Why does that sound like a positive trait to her?)
[voice]
I'd go into the physiology of it but just take my word for it. I'm a doctor, I know these things. It does happen. It's an extremely dangerous symptom suggesting you may be close to death.
[voice]
Also near death, but shhh.)I had no idea. (The more she learns, the more she is convinced...) Our bodies are strange.

[voice]
Would you use bread mold to treat infection for example?
[voice]
[of course he's bragging, even if the process is far more complicated than he lets on]
Sounds like your world will catch up to one like mine eventually, if they've already made that discovery.
[voice]
(They do try, bless them and studying the body is an art and a science.)
That gives me some hope.
[voice]
Sounds like you've learned a bit from these. Maesters, you said?
[voice]
Yes, most noble houses have a Maester, trained at the Citadel, living with them.
[voice]
That's better than most, I guess. A lot of people are idiots and would rather just lay there and cry for a doctor than figure out how to staunch their own blood in the middle of an emergency.
[voice]
I've seen men bleed out. I've seen horrific wounds and scars. Letting my family suffer because I am uninformed makes their suffering my fault.

[voice]
I also cared for a very injured Elf once - both physically and emotionally.

[this is news! he's not heard this before]

[voice]
You were both somewhere else before here? I had no idea.

[voice]
Though, it's just Fingon-ya now, isn't it?
