[The video shows Maketh and Henry sitting next to each other. Maketh’s uniform has been ironed half to death, all of the angles sharp enough to cut, and she quite possibly has never looked so professional in her life.]

Hello, Hadriel. Many of you have been patrolling and protecting the city on your own. It’s time to make that official. We have taken one of the unoccupied buildings to serve as a headquarters and would invite anyone and everyone who wishes to help to come and sign up. We are going to start patrolling on a schedule, with regular reports and check-ins. It appears that we’re going to be stuck here for a while, so we ought to do this right.

We are also looking for anyone willing to teach self-defense to the civilians. Speak to myself or Henry Percy if you are interested.

[Henry wears full plate armour, of late fourteenth century craftsmanship. There is assurance in his posture throughout Maketh's address. He speaks only after she has said all that needs to be said.]

The strength of any community is bestowed in part by its unity. To that end, we aim to make a worthy contribution. Soon those who seek assistance may easily avail themselves of ours.

[Attached to the message is a map, with the location guard headquarters marked.]

[Hux seemed to belatedly realize he'd just ranted at what equated a total stranger. He found himself chagrined and rather ashamed of such an outburst but could only blame it on the stressful situation he found himself in.

Not that such a thing was an excuse for such poor behavior. Chris would visibly see the subtle signs of the general reining his unruly temper back in. Railing at everyone here was not the best of plans when he had none of his fellow compatriots here to support or watch his back.]

You're right and I apologize for my behavior but we have not gotten off on the best of footings. Though I do find her behavior rather appalling and you are not going to change my mind on that matter any time soon. Still, our disagreements are not for public consumption and for that I an sorry. [The redhead said stiffly and very formally even as his gloved hands curled into fists out of frame. Inwardly, he was fuming and furious but Hux was too good of an actor to let that show in his demeanor or the tone of his voice.]

[This is totally not the first time he's been ranted at by a stranger, so he really doesn't think anything of that part of it. He still doesn't like how Hux spoke to Maketh, and he remembers Maketh's concerns about whatever organization Hux is a part of, but it's best for everyone if some level of peace can be maintained.

And considering Chris had actually started this little discussion due to a flare in temper, he decides to pretend he can't see that Hux is showing signs of having to control his own.]

It's cool. It's just probably best for everyone if you two like... Just avoid each other, as much as you can? If you want to help out with... You know, the whole being here thing, there's lots of other ways than the patrol.

I fully intend on giving Ms. Tua all the space this awful cavern will allow us. [The cold-eyed man in the video display no longer sounded angry but that prissy tone remained all the same.]

I'm a soldier, sir and one who trained soldiers and while it is admirable how you and your friends feel the need to defend Ms. Tua, she's no doubt poisoned my character enough that no one will be interested in hearing anything I might have to say in defense of my character. Now, if you will excuse me, I have other things to attend to.

[That last part was little more than a thinnest attempts at civility because the prissy jerk didn't even bother waiting for a reply from Chris before abruptly ending the video feed.]
