Some of you just can't seem to stop being upset over my methods. While I'm sure Rage is more than happy to let this continue, I'm here to propose a compromise.

I've noticed that many of you feel fear while asleep. After a time, I've discerned that this is due to hallucinations occurring while you are immobile, and I've decided to allow you all to experience more of these frightful hallucinations.

I think that sounds workable. You aren't put into any real physical danger, and I still get power. And, if you can see one another's hallucinations then you'll have more people who frightened of the same thing, which makes my job easier in the long run.

A handsome compromise, yes? Good?

[On one hand, no physical danger? Definitely an improvement. On the other, wow, invasion of privacy much. Also good thing there's a coffee cart ~~not that it'll do much good but he doesn't know that~~]

That's definitely better than the stuff before, yeah.

[He figures probably most of the people complaining haven't experienced the worst of Fear's events and don't have anything to compare this compromise to, but he won't say that. No need to maybe make Fear think he should demonstrate for contrast.

A few minutes later he decides to send another message, because he's been meaning to ask for awhile but hasn't really wanted to contact Fear first for it. So maybe he can just ask here.]

So basically I was just wondering if you and Rage knew about the wendigos being here and how they work when you two decided to help Hope out with the food thing.

[It's not like he'd be shocked--the whole wendigo thing was probably great for Fear and Rage and if he were one of them he'd probably have pulled something like that--but he really isn't sure if it had been purposeful or just the worst coincidence ever. The topic has come up in conversation more than once with other people here, so he'd like to just find out for sure if he can.]

[It's an interesting question, and Fear could respond to it in several different ways. Ultimately, his goal is cultivating fear and assuming power, not making friends- so it would be easy to place himself as an omniscient force here.

But in the end, he does like Chris, and he's never been fond of lying in general, without some greater payoff.]

The spirits felt no fear, only rage. I was aware of their presence, but because I could not feed from them, they and their purpose were foreign to me.

[That's... A really interesting answer. It says a lot for only being two sentences, and he feels like it's probably honest; he's been inclined to believe the gods are usually telling the truth in their answers, but this one especially he can't see a reason why Fear would answer this way if it's not true.]

I guess so. I didn't want to bother you for something that simple though.

[If Fear's making a post Chris figures he's at least expecting to talk to people, but calling him out of the blue about something like this seems... Not rude but maybe risky.]

[The absolute last thing he wants to do is argue with Fear, even about something minor, and so he would've dropped the topic himself even if Fear hadn't decided to do so first. He's more than happy to just answer the question.]
