[ This is evidently the first time she is doing this, anyone can tell and she knows it; it is clear by the little frown, the uncertainty. there is nervousness and fear, too, but those she knows how to hide. A moment later and the confusion is tucked away and she offers a little graceful bow ]
Fellow residents, I hope this finds you well.
[ She knows grace well, the girl. The one who came before wore it a little better than her but a baseborn girl must not have the gracefulness of a highborn lady. ]
I am Alayne Stone, a newcomer to your city. Some of you I have met already, those who have been kind enough to help me upon my arrival, my thanks to you.
[ she tucks a strand of chestnut brown hair behind an ear ]
I ask for advice and counsel. I know little of the ways of the city nor what is expected of me during my stay. I know of the gods, a little.
[ and already she fears them, all of them ]
Are there any vendors in the city? I am searching for fabrics, in specific and if - if there is a need for tunics or breeches or dresses, I would be pleased to offer my services, I was oft told my stitch-work and embroidery are pleasing.
[ a breath. she attempts a smile ]
My thanks for your time and your counsel.

[And he means it sincerely, alright so she's pretty, and he wouldn't mind if she liked him. But, he's got other things to think about too, and he knows nothing fucks up a friendship like flirting where it's not particularly wanted. He figures he needs friends right now, a girlfriend can come along later.]
[Corbin loves heights, the towers have an excellent view, and since he could change, it made getting up to the top floors a simple enough matter. He needed to find some rope and pullies though, crows couldn't carry much just yet]

[ a small smile. she has been told that quite a lot. a compliment she will have to give Petyr if they ever meet again. She thinks he might still be the most dangerous man in the world, even in this realm. ]
It is good, I was told. I was taught as a child.
[ beautiful, Sansa's septa would have said but Alayne Stone had no septa. ]

[No one would ever call Corbin's handwriting beautiful. Or even passable]

[ at the very least, she can understand her own handwriting well enough, learn how to pronounce the names, mayhaps mark the places she should stay away from and other places which might be of use. ]
Would you care for one? a map? I could write them for you, as well.
