I've definitely noticed that most of it happens with text. ( jeez, has he. that whole thing with emily and the kanji and the broken latin ... it makes his head hurt.

but he nearly chokes on his own tongue at the question - way to just throw it all out there, cas - and only barely manages to keep from it by sheer willpower.

there's a soft, almost-not chuckle and a shake of his head that cas won't be able to see, of course, but the amusement is back in his voice as though it had never left. )

( the intent behind all of this - he knows it's nothing but good - and even though the other's device isn't helping the seriousness of the situation, he appreciates it. if anything, it lightens the embarrassment at having the whole thing out in the open for everyone in the city to see, to hear, even if it's at his own expense.

kate is pretty awesome. he can't deny that.
