Not gonna begrudge anyone who wants to pander to over-inflated egos, but while we're stuck here we should be doing something useful to ensure everyone can survive.

- first-aid: Do you know it? Do you have a kit prepared for an emergency? Is there anyone here who has ACTUAL medical training?

- food & water: What's safe to consume? Has anyone encountered something that made them sick? Have we figured out how to safely use the apartment appliances just in case other people get trapped here?

- surroundings: Do we have a map of the area? Has anyone run into any other dangerous places besides the arena?

- defense: Are you capable of defending yourself if you're attacked? If not, I can at least help with that. If anyone else has any experience training personnel in combat, you should make yourselves available for people who need help.

Doctor Pierce is right; the clinic is up and close to functional. We're still working on scavenging medical supplies, and preparing field first-aid kits to place at strategically important points throughout the city, so any scavenged or donated supplies are a big help. We are offering first aid training to anyone who wants it.

His paint suggestion isn't a bad one. I like the idea of painting the side of the building, and of painting directional arrows on the ground of some of the main streets. Maybe a 'follow this line' directly from the doors of the colosseum, in the event that people continue to arrive from that point.

On that subject, I know that you can't trace two data points to make a pattern, but I want to keep a close eye on that space and see if more rushes of arrivals show up there, or if the timing between waves is in any sense predictable. The only problem is, I have nothing like any kind of timekeeping piece, I don't think, so I'm not actually sure how long it's been since we arrived- obviously we can't go by the sun here.

If I come across anything that would be better suited in your guys' hands, I'll make sure to turn it over. And if you need any extra help with anything first-aid related, I received training while in the Army. Patched myself up on the field enough to know what I'm doing.

I have a watch. It's still spinning, but since we can't rely on any celestial bodies to back-up if it's noon or midnight, I don't know how much help it'll ultimately be.

I should be more clear- there is a clock function buried in the phone, but we did not get those right away, and the number of hours in a day has been changing, so we've been here either something like sixty day and night cycles, thereabouts, or two months and a half approximately of hours. Loosely.

I'm very glad to hear you have training. You should definitely get a stash together first.

That's worrying. 2 months you first batch have been here and still no way of escape?

Yes. But I haven't given up hope; our first week here, they had no food delivery system sorted out, so we all starved, and the week after that was mostly recovery, no real break out attempts.

Most important; there is a system of interconnected cave mouths nearby that look promising, but they're dangerous; we've never managed to cooperate together enough to stage an exploration into them to see how far deep they go.

I've suggested to a few people that we form a recon team to map out the area. I was going to keep it small, but a lot of people have come forward saying they know how to take care of themselves in a fight. I think it would be possible to form a larger operation and take a stab at discovering what's in those caves.

I can't participate in the mission for a number of reasons, but I can wait outside as medical support, or whatever else you need. I'll bring the idea up with the people I know.
