[Chris smiles and gives a small wave at the camera when the feed starts, then turns his hand to show Hope's blessing on the back of it.]

So uh, who else got one? And are they all from Hope, or...?

[This is so cool you guys he wants to see who else got what. And for something else slightly less important by still cool--]

Oh, also, my iPhone was up and working for a bit thanks to Pell, and I managed to get some music off it. I'll share on the condition no one makes fun of my taste.

[The last comment is a joke--he's really not going to be too hurt by jabs about his choice in music--but the offer is serious, and attached is a download of the music he's copied off so far. It's kind of a slow process, so there's still more on the phone that he can transfer later.]

Rage uh, kind of put human meat in the food, and it just so happened that these spirits from my world that turn you into a monster if you engage in cannibalism had just shown up.

[He's told this story enough times that he can say it casually, but it had definitely been an awful experience. It had been bad enough in his world, let alone that the creatures had apparently followed them here.]

Oh, god. [The thought makes her stomach turn, but then spirits that turn you into monsters?

She shudders.]

Are they gone?

The spirits? I um, don't think so. Pretty sure Hope just pushed them to the caves with the other monsters, but at least um... He took back over on the food front, so.

[So they're relatively safe at the moment, but who knows when that might change? That paranoid fear has kept everyone in his house vegetarian ever since.]

[That's understandable.]

So I'll just avoid meat. [She'll miss it.]

I mean, you don't have to since it's probably okay now, but just... Who knows in the future.

[He doesn't want to give her the wrong impression though he does think it's probably smartest to just avoid meat all together. Though it definitely does suck and he really wants a hamburger.]

Better to be safe than sorry, right?

[She is not turning into a monster.]

Yeah. Definitely better.

What kind of monsters are here?

Aside from the wendigo spirits, there are the monsters from the coliseum this month, some giant rat things, angry psychedelic cats, the gelatin with teeth monsters that were here when I first arrived, and a bunch of others. If uh, those all survived Hope calling for people to kill them, anyway.

[And, aware this was not the most helpful answer in the world, he continues--]

We were uh, sort of working on a group project of cataloguing what types of monsters are here, but there's this guy named Dean who has most of the info on that so he'd be best to ask.

[She can't help but laugh. Of course Dean was spearheading that.]

I'll be sure to ask him.
