purpleknee: (here's a story)

[video - ask a gentern if zydrate is right for you.]

As backwards as this place is, at least you're not using coin. That kind of economy never made a lot of sense to me. You don't even really seem like you're bartering at all! That's more than a little strange.

[Or maybe he just thinks he deserves a lot, when he's this far away from his heart. Hmn. A possibility, to be sure.]

However, since that's the case, I really don't see what the point is in working for an organization like the clinic. Why would I want to go work for someone else when I've been doing just fine on my own for years? Where I'm from, I'm one of just two menders, and I've had plenty of practice.

[He never even completed his training, but shhh.]

Has anyone from your great clinic recreated half a brain before? I doubt it. I have. So feel free to stop by the better healer whenever you like. I'm usually around the library trying to find something that isn't garbage, if you've, I don't know, got your fingers chewed off, or something.

I'm guessin' you might wanna brush up on your diplomacy. Though in all fairness, I don't know many people here who'd agree to a medical check-up, much less intensive brain surgery.

[But like he said - it more relies on trust and the capital one garners from that. Without it, there's no evidence that anyone should trust you, one way or another.]
skelebro: (sansye shrug)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not the fella you gotta convince, buddy. I know plenty of sorts that don't trust magic, and for very good reason.

[Not that he's offended. Hell, even if he's made of the stuff.]

That's not somethin' you can so easily fix.
skelebro: (nah i'm just ribbing ya)

video --> action lmao

Sure. Library, right?

[Library is...not too far, right?

Quite abruptly, Sans is in the library. Not immediately behind wherever Warrick is, 'cause he's been told that is "shocking" and also "terrifying" and that ain't what he's springin' for, frankly.

But he ambles along until he comes across the guy he's been chattin' with. Waves.]

Heya.
skelebro: (take the easy road)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
[It's a pose Sans himself as assumed many a time - he can recognize a fellow lounger when he sees one. Sans idles on over and plonks down in the proffered seat.]

Just a shortcut I knew.

[Technically not a lie, though hell if you can get him to elaborate on that. Not a lot about Sans makes sense. For one, he's considerably...rounder than a guy who's all bones should be.]
skelebro: (they downgraded to a fuckton)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
[He grins cheerfully in Warrick's direction as he settles into his seat, heel of his palm swinging up to support the rounded part of his skull that constitutes his chin as he braces his weight on his elbow.]

Mhm. I figure there's some pretty significant differences. Like, uh, how bone ain't really supposed to do this.

[He winks one eyesocket, then the other. The bone just kinda...folds down over the socket and pops back up again, as pliable as skin. But it sure don't look like skin]

We fall under the species of "monsters," so I'd say there's no actual relation between humans and us. Just speculation, though.
skelebro: (how about sansrise land)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, it's bone.

[He drums the tips of his phalanges against the side of his skull to indicate. Sure enough, it makes the hollow kind of rattling tap-tap-tap you'd expect from bone.]

Magic lets ya break pretty much any rule if it's dramatic or funny enough.
skelebro: (shrugs illustratively)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Me? Taking things seriously?

[He chuckles, faintly disbelieving.]

Why would I go for the rule of drama when the lowest forms of humor are in easy reach, I ask you? I mean, look at me. Do I look like a guy who can reach all that high?

[Turns out being about four feet off the ground can be a real hindrance, who knew? 'Course, he don't need to be terribly tall to prove the points he needs to prove.]
skelebro: (ayyyyyy lmao)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-24 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
You ask everybody why they wear clothes? Manners, man! Nobody wants to see a naked skeleton!

[He does an earnest job of being mock offended, eyeing Warrick with an amused grin.]

But, uh, nah. Just big-boned.
skelebro: (take the easy road)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-25 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
You seem weirdly preoccupied with my clothes. Are you mentally undressing me or something, dude? I mean, I get artistic license and everything, but that seems a bit risque, don'tcha think?

[But then he shrugs, nonchalant.]

But hey, I'm not judging. Everybody needs a hobby, right?

[Sans just - stop. Stop talking. Please.]
skelebro: (tbh)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-25 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
[That works out just fine, then, 'cause Sans has zero interest in those sorts of things and also zero interest in putting effort into things he has zero interest in.]

'Fraid I can't clarify things any. I've always been a skeleton, and so's my brother. Didn't realize there were discrepancies with the human body 'til later.
skelebro: (shrugs illustratively)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-25 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Same way humans are, I'd imagine.

[Yeah, he's not being any more helpful than that, Warrick, sorry. The answer, like it is to so many things about him, is probably - you guessed it! "Magic."]

But yeah. My brother's kinda the coolest. Like me, but the opposite.
skelebro: (they downgraded to a fuckton)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-25 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Nah. Loud, enthusiastic, and likes to say "Nyeh heh heh!"

[He does his best to mimic Papyrus's signature laugh with minimal success.]

Seriously, cooler than an old lazybones like me.
skelebro: (whatever floats your pontoon my dude)

[personal profile] skelebro 2016-09-25 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
This a friend of yours, this "Selva"?

[If she's anything like Papyrus, he's assuming he'd like her. He cracks one socket open a slit to watch Warrick lazily.]
