[video] 1st Shape

[There's someone new on the network. They appear to be human, but at a second glance, it's clear there's some...differences. Her eyes definitely look more cat-like than anything, and she's got huge rabbit ears sprouting from her head. In addition to the perfectly human ears on the sides of her head, because who doesn't want extra ears sometimes? She beams and waves at the camera with a hand that ends in a bear's claws.]

Hello, hello! Camille here, I'm new! And I have a small request! Those dragons are still kicking around, wreaking havoc and all that, yes? Awful rude, awful dangerous and all but, I know some of you brave hearts are aiming to put them down! So, my request--if you can manage it, try not to damage them too badly? I'm planning on turning them into dragon pies, if I can! Who doesn't like a good meat pie when the weather starts to get cold? Well, not that there's technically weather down here, hu hu, but you take my meaning!

So, yes! If anyone knows about...fileting a dragon? That would be helpful, as I have no earthly idea. What better way to introduce myself to the city than with a metric ton of dragon meat pies? Just need to, ah, get my hands on enough flour and such for the crust. Need me a house of sorts before then, I'm thinking...

[She grins again and gives a double thumbs-up.]

That's all! Unhappy to be here, Hadrielites, but I aim to make the most of it!

How do you intend to preserve all those pies?

There are no industrial freezers. Additionally, there are many vegetarians.

You're welcome. If you have other questions, I may be able to assist you.

There are refrigerators. I doubt even using every refrigerator in every house or apartment would be enough for all that dragon meat. Frankly, as useful as it would be to stockpile food, we don't have enough to necessitate an industrial freezer, though we could certainly build one.

[ He's tempted to direct her to Mr. Sans for that one, but -- instead, he sends another picture. ]

There are not many options, but you ought to be able to find something.

Someone might, yes. You might as well complain or make suggestions. You're trapped here like all the rest of us, and given the circumstances I doubt many are sentimental about the ramshackle things that have been done. Besides, you might have something useful to say.

You might go easy on Mr. Hope, Mr. Sorrow, and Miss Delight. I find them less objectionable.

Well, waste not.

I would recommend one or two pies each and we could make jerky out of the remainder.

That's assuming their flesh isn't toxic, of course. And I should very much like to lay hands on a piece of hide.

[ It's the demeanor that interests Pell the most, then the additions to her otherwise human appearance, then the request about eating dragons -- they eat the monsters here, after all, that's definitely the least strange thing about her message. ]

I don't know anything about the palatability of dragons, but I can point you at the housing. And where to find flour... perishables like butter are harder to come by but I've found oil and shortening before, in small amounts.

I'll help you look, but it's unlikely we'll find any.

[ He doesn't mean to be discouraging, but perishables in this city that aren't produce from the orchard and garden? Not so much. ]

...maybe it's better if we go looking after the dragons are taken care of.

Never filleted a dragon, but back home I hunt for my own meat. Bet I could figure it out.

I'll show you some stuff I know about cutting your own shit if I get some for myself.

Man, you'll need a helluva knife to fillet dragon chops. Dunno if I can be of much help, but if ya need a really big bonfire to cook them or anything, gimme a holler!
