[ Abruptly, the text is posted, with a video immediately following, the screen initially shaking, jostling, as one voice protests in the background ]

[ The video stabilizes a bit, currently held just out of reach of one (1) Hermann Gottlieb. The arm holding said phone out of reach belongs to one (1) Newt Geiszler. It’s debatable how long he’ll be able to keep it out of Hermann’s grasp, but he sure is going to try.]
[ For a petulant, tortured moment Hermann sincerely looks as though he is about to lunge for the phone, a matter of aggrieved principle and standard outrage. Yet, 1.53 seconds and he thinks better of it. They are recording. He would be seen looking foolish.
Hermann grits his teeth and straightens, standing up, all stiff professionalism as he leans on his cane. He has rarely used video. He hates this. Newton will hear about it later, once the video is off. ]
Fine. As you may know, I am Dr. Gottlieb, that is my colleague--

[ They are recording. A muscle works in his jaw, but Hermann swallows his protest, resists the urge to throw something at or strangle Newton, and continues-- ]
--Dr. Geiszler. In our world, we worked in Kaiju Science, which to put it succinctly, means we studied the behemoth -- larger than these dragons, I assure you -- alien creatures invading our world, and aided the development and design of offensive and defensive weaponry.
We are requesting data--
[and that’s about the time Newt’s managed to prop the camera up somewhere, and pops fully into view.]
--basically I want any info anyone has about the dragons! Flight patterns, movements, where they’re hanging out, their favorite color--seriously, anything and everything. You notice it, I wanna know it! Aaaaand if you can get scales or something, that’d be super helpful. Or any other bits. The more there is to analyze, the more likely it is that we’ll be able to throw something together.
[and tbh that’s about as much of serious professional as Newt is going to be able to get before really yeah okay he has to fold and his face splits into a wide grin] Also real, live dragons, you guys. Dragons! This is seriously some King Arthur level shit! How cool is this?!
[ observe the look of deep, deep, depthless chagrin as it settles into the lines of Dr. Gottlieb's face, lines carved by almost seven years of this.

Videos if they may be safely obtained, observations, specifics, as specific as possible. Note the effectiveness of your standard weaponry, or whatever it is you can do and use. The scales would, indeed, be particularly helpful.

I've met the rain maker. His name is Zennyo Ryūō, he's... He's something else. [ It's hard to describe the power he wields; how heavy the air felt with just his energy as he summoned the rain. ] They don't call him the dragon 'king' for nothing though.
He has black hair and red eyes, like a massive edgelord, but all the dragons have red eyes so... It's not actually unique to him. [ A dismissive wave of her good hand. ] Anyway, I got caught in a storm he caused near Mount Murō - his home - and I wandered too close to the Ryūketsu, uh. The Dragon Cave? Is the translation, I think. He made sure I knew that was a mistake by coming out only to be obnoxiously villain-like and tell me to 'leave his territory' or there would be 'consequences.'
[ Faux intimidating finger waggle goes here. ]
Their land is like sacred or whatever. Well, I didn't leave. Because fuck that noise, it was raining like there was no tomorrow and I told him it was his fault I was there in the first place. [ Rosie: sassing people she shouldn't sass for over three centuries. ]
He just kind of huffed and told me to leave as soon as it passed. Or else! But that was really it. Then he sort of just hung out at the edge of his cave and watched me to make sure I left soon as it cleared up.
[ To Rose, it seemed like he hadn't actually wanted to hurt her... More like he was playing a part he had to in order to keep up appearances as the big, scary dragon lord. Considering he was the biggest proponent against not murdering everyone, it isn't all that surprising to think he might not be actually malevolent. ]

-Ah! Right. Yeah, most demons... We have our original forms. Dragons, foxes, wolves, so on. But we, like, evolved over time and developed humanoid forms to 'blend in' when we want to be seen by people as human society developed. During the Edo period, there was a lot more nature and people were more primitive so enchanted animals made sense. Nowadays though, if a five-tail fox tried to run through downtown Tokyo it'd be probably turn a lot of heads. And get taken in for scientific experimentation as, like, some kind of mutant or whatever.
Demons have always intermingled with humans but usually just to eat them. Or! Some get their freak on for a night then bounce. But that's pretty rare since hanyo - half-demon - children are... [ Her ears droop as she sighs, shoulders visibly slumping. ] ...complicated.
[ They're actually one of the many, many reasons Rose doesn't ever want to have children. ]
