[fulminants]

Whoooooooo -- dragons!

[ There's the dizzying view that's evidently taken from someone flying at high speed, and making sharp swerves and wild loops. There are the dragons that come into view, some uncomfortably close before the camera pans out again just as quickly, and jets of fire that come jarringly close.

But then there's the Human Torch's face, fully aflame before he decides to use his prettier, non-fire face to address the video feed, turning the camera back to him. At least, just for a moment. He's grinning, evidently exhilarated and ready to do some damage. ]

Look at those things, pretty awesome, huh? Who knew that dragons really existed? [ He's flying higher, circling just above them, showing the audience the view (sorry, if you've got any sort of vertigo) before flipping back to himself. ] All right, all you flammable land pals, keep your hands and legs inside a safe building at all times, and stay away from windows. You don't want to be their freshly roasted appetizer!

And those of you who need some help, send a shout-out, and I'll come by. [ Then he starts to dive -- ] Now let's see if I can't make two of these bozos knock heads!

[ the feed cuts off. ]

[ So he is a fire apparition. Or, at least, that's the closest thing in Rose's world to what he is. Interesting. She's never actually met one. As one can imagine, fire and ice don't really get along. ]

Stay safe, dude! I kind of want to grab a scale as a souvenir but I don't think they'd appreciate that too much.

You want a scale? [ Johnny perks up, challenge accepted. ] From which one?

[ It's been so good so far, anyway. Rosie thinks he's a pretty cool dude so far. Uh. No pun intended, of course. ]

Well, purple is my favorite color, but... I'd be cool with anything, really! Whichever one is easiest for you to get.

[ He winks. ] How you doing, huh? We should catch up sometime.

Aw, thanks. I owe ya' one, dude!

[ Is this really the time for charming small talk? Even if Rose actually finds it oddly endearing despite herself. The smile she sports is proof enough of that. ]

Doing about as well I can with all the nonsense that goes on here. [ 'Nonsense' is a bit of a understatement... ] But, yeah, I'd like that! Anything you have in mind?

I'll let you know when I have an idea. The whole cave thing is really killing my creativity when it comes to hanging out.

[ There is always time for charming small talk! ]

Sounds good to me! A question though, because I'm curious.

[ Well, hey, if he's down for small talk then... ]

Hmm. What kind of music do ya' like?

All kinds, as long as they don't put me to sleep. Why?

I'm a musician. What kind of music people like says a lot about them, I think!

Maybe I can sing for you, sometime? I'd offer to play, but... I'm still working on that.

[ Having only one hand really sucks when you're a musician. ]

[fulminants]

Hmmm, let's go with good old rock to start with.

[ He smiles, all charm. ] I'm sure I'd love whatever you come up with. What are you working on, anyway?

Rock, huh? A guy after my own heart! I'm a pretty big fan of it myself.

[ She knew there was a reason she liked him. ]

A deal with Hope, actually. He's gonna help me play again.

[fulminants]

Help you play again? What happened?

I stole someone's time a while back so they stole my hand. Claimed it was only fair.

[ That's how R had put it, hadn't she? ]

But I'm working on it. I'll be all back in one piece before y'know it!

[fulminants]

[ johnny stares at her, confused. ] You stole someone's time?

video;

[hasitsthorns]

I set up a meeting with a place called the Yao Corporation and asked them to help me with a problem that they'd caused in the first place. They asked too much of me then gave me a solid 'maybe' as far as help so I backed out of the deal.

That was 'stealing their time' in their eyes.

[ She says it casually like it wasn't, y'know, a bunch of bullshit. Almost a 'it's what I get' attitude. ]

But, hey! [ A grin again, nothing keeps Rose down fod long. ] Holding out on Hope to help me, so. We'll see!
