You may have noticed some abnormal behavior regarding the Door. Normally it doesn't bring in anything so large, and we did not expect it to do so this time. Delight and I have been attempting to alter the Door to send you home, as you have so often requested, but as I have said again and again, we have very little knowledge in this area. We will try again.

My appreciation for those who slew the dragons. We did not intend on their arrival, and I would be willing to grant you a favor in return for your efforts - if it's within my power, and not too foolish.

We are not all-knowing. And yes, it was unintentional, at least on my part.

Not really? I suppose it depends on what you mean. I'm mortal, at least! Not like you god fellows. I can eat and think and feel?

Oh, sort of! Technically I can eat anything. Actually, I'm trying to start a bakery so I can maybe feed some of the poor souls here. People need pie and such! Only there's hardly any butter to be found. A tragedy!

I am sure people do not need butter to survive.

For someone named Hope you sure don't know a thing about it, do you?

You tend to expect us to personify the concepts that power us. We do not.

Then you're more of a sort of "hope parasite" than anything?

What is your purpose, then? Not in the sense of what you can do for us, because I do appreciate that you at least seem to actually care about our survival and suchall. But in the grand scheme of things? What is it you do or want?

You could put it like that, I suppose, though it's a bit rude.

What I want is the safety and continued wellbeing of myself and my companions. That has always been my goal.
