... Jesus. All right, since it looks like we're all gonna die anyway, I may as well do this now. I'm taking a vote - who agrees that Fear asshole is a complete dick?
Also, not that it really matters, but was anyone else in Vancouver before you ended up here? Humor me.

Re: video.
It doesn't sound familiar?

[She's not bitter, YOU'RE bitter.]
video.
[sarcasm mostly doesn't register with this kid.]

I get enough of that boondocks stuff from Zelos, thanks. There's nothing wrong with my home.

But I still don't know what electricty is and I did just fine without it so obviously it can't be that important.
video.
[Damn. How to explain this to someone who doesn't know what it is. Nick never imagined she'd be in this situation.]
I dunno, it's power, and without it, you can't turn on the lights, or anything else.
video.
Oh, like an exsphere then.
video.
I guess so, kid. Whatever you call it. Anyway, the point is, there isn't any electricity here, and we're all probably gonna die.
video.
[no really, does electricity kill people, is this a serious problem lloyd has to worry about, does he have to try and fix electricity now (whatever it is) on top of the exsphere problem?]
video.
Well, usually it doesn't, unless you're dumb enough to go and get yourself electrocuted. But - I dunno if you noticed, it's a fucking blizzard outside, so without heat and electricity, I'm just not liking the odds for surviving it.
video.
That's what fires and blankets are for. Are you cold? Because I have a whole lot of bear skin blankets and stuff from my first month here if you need one.

[he doesn't sound terribly bothered by that fact though.]
video.
Well, yeah. Now that you mention it, I did notice there are monsters here.
[Other than herself, at least.]
video.
there's a very small scrape across one of lloyd's cheeks, already starting to scab over, that looks sort of like road rash, but it's the only real evidence that he already spent most of yesterday out in the snow dealing with said monsters.
he just nods along with nick's comment and adds earnestly:] Be careful out there, okay? Not everyone here knows how to fight, I guess. [and what a strange concept that is, though he's not going to make an assumption about nick either way.] And I don't mind making trips out in the storm for people if it will keep them safe.
video.
I can take care of myself, kid. Been doing it a long time.
video.
[so much earnestness, so much. i'm sorry nick.]
video.
Jesus, what are you, my mother?
[No, he's already shown more care than her mother, in this single conversation.]
video.
You don't have to be related to someone to care about them though. [for real, or lloyd would have to be related to pretty much everyone ever.]
