I think that, um, with all those portals being closed, that's the last of the things that the Door brought through. I can't sense anything else, anyway.

Whew!!! What a crazy couple of weeks! You guys were all real troopers for hanging in there with us. I really thought we might be able to send you home!

I'd say "drinks are on me", but they kind of always are... so stop by for some drinks if you want! I've got some Delight shots ready to serve up too if any of you want to party all night with me!!! It's gonna be really fun, okay? We can forget all about that weird Door/demon/disaster stuff for awhile and just have a good time.

I'm already looking forward to it!

There are more effective ways to do so.

No, not exactly, but we are using you to poison ourselves in hopes of forgetting about the shit we have to go through. Humans can and have died from consuming too much alcohol. Some, it takes years to kill, destroys their liver so it can't work properly. Others, they die because they were too drunk to roll over when they got sick and drowned in their own vomit.

There may be more effective ways to go about it, but none of them come with the added effect of making shit seem a little better for an hour or two.

Then I'll stop serving alcohol!!! I'll let everyone know how you're looking out for them.

[She could give something like 'I just want you to be happy', but after everything Sharon has pulled, Delight thinks that they're both probably past that by now. So she settles for something different, another kind of truth.]

I never want to die again.

[ The line catches her off-guard, having fully expected Delight to feed her some selfish dribble about wanting her happiness, and she feels a touch of respect at this kind of truth. It's the kind of truth that is useful, the kind of truth that can be used against her, and it gives her a spark of cruel delight.

She doesn't respond with a 'Too bad' despite how much she wants to. Instead: ]

Is it because dying hurt? I heard it was excruciating. [ She never stops digging for information when it comes to them, does she? She won't stop until she knows everything she needs to know to take them apart. ]

Yes.

[She knows that Sharon will be smug about it, but that's not a good enough reason to lie, in Delight's mind. She can be smug all she likes- she doesn't know.]

Like being ripped apart. Into pieces too small to be pieces anymore.

[ The knowledge sparks a small measure of delight. Good. There are few things she enjoys more than knowing her enemies have suffered and will suffer more in the future. ]

Why would something want to do that to you?

Because.

[She can feel Sharon's happiness, which is kind of hurtful, but- well, at least it's power.]

I create Delight. Love creates love. Rage creates rage.

[ Hurtful is good. ]

You don't create anything real. [ Sharon sees manipulation of previous memories, the forceful push of emotions that aren't her own, but never are any of those feelings real. Not in her mind. ] What does it seek by killing you all? What does that accomplish for it? Does it hate emotions? Or does it just hate manipulative assholes?

I know you think that, because you're angry and you're cruel, but it isn't true for everything. What we create is real enough that we are hunted down to end it.
