( he's become quite aware, in the last couple of months, that the ability to clock another guy his age is not the same as standing up to zombies or demons. and while anyone can swing an axe in an emergency, Matt would like to be able to do something.

Yeah, no problem. We can't use a lot of bullets, but you can at least get some practice in.
