( Ana had spent the first few days holed up in an unused building, heading out when it had gotten dark to get a lay of the land, reading what she could on the phone she'd been given. It had been curious, but certainly more personal than informative )

It looks like my mission failed.
But I'm not the only one who has lost something, as unfortunate as that is.
Are they anything to do with the arrivals here, or is it coincidence?
There is more, I could guess that easily enough. Would I find a complete answer? That I doubt.

There are gaps.
But I did not expect to fill them. I had done some investigating first.

Since I'm the one who wrote it and I solicited input from the rest of the city in order to do so, I'd say I find everything about it complete.

If you're going to criticize someone else's work, the least you can do is offer a solid suggestion for improvement - or, failing that, answer a simple question with a direct answer instead of circular nonsense.

[It definitely makes a weird situation weirder. She's still reeling from the truth that her mother is alive - that she's been alive this whole time. Having her here to talk with is something of a surreal experience, on top of everything else.]

I'm glad. Despite the earlier transformations, it isn't the most secure locale.
