Middle school, actually. And I'm second in my physics class. I take extra math classes as electives. I build computers! I like to reverse engineer things.

Among other things, I think locating the Door though signals indicating multidimensional coherence could be possible. But obviously available resources fall far short of being able to even begin on that front.

In the meantime, I am simply looking to help make our time here more liveable and avoid reliance on the entities that call themselves gods.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I've got some know-how on mechanics and programming under my belt.

Good. Any particular areas of speciality? What did you do where you were from before you were brought here?

I'm a detective. Had to figure my way around a terminal or two to get where and what I needed. As for machines, I did some of the work on the dam when we were first constructing it. I can't say I know as much about some of the newer technology around here as other folks, but I get by.

[Clearly, Marian isn't particularly impressed with the current state of the dam. It's hard to conceal the hint of disappointment in her voice when she replies. High-tech help is hard to find.]

Given the amount of newer technology around here is close to nil, it's better than nothing. Have you seen or collected anything useful? tools, diagnostic devices, useful electronic salvage?

...I guess I know a bit about chemical engineering, but I don't know if brewing potions actually counts. Those did more than any ridiculous mechanical things I built, though.

Would it be too much of a long shot to hope you had any expertise in extraction and purification of metals?

I've never tried, but... I might be able to? There's lots of things that fall under the mender umbrella, like construction and shielding. Purifying doesn't sound like too much of a stretch. If you don't mind it taking some time with no guarantee, I'd like to help.
