I didn't where Jess came from, when she was here.

I mean, I'll fucking try. Like, I won't go down without a fight, but those things-- wendigoes. They're terrifying.

Maybe it'll be different when you get out. Like with all that's fucking happened here why wouldn't it be?

( But yeah, she knows how terrifying they are, and she doesn't envy Emily having to face them again )

[Wouldn't that be something, if she could do magic at home? She could get everyone off the mountain safely. She could rescue Josh from Hannah-- from the wendigo.]

If I do go back, I'm going to do what I can to survive.

[She wants to say it's for the sake of her friends here, but that seems a bit dramatic. She will, however, keep Beth's faith in her in mind. It means a lot to her.]

( If only there was a way for her to change her fate too, but she was dead not just for them but Beth remembered it too. She couldn't change that )

[Emily is thinking the same thing, actually. Sure, they can talk about what Emily might do when she goes back, but they both know what becomes of Beth. The image of Beth's frozen head falling from that dummy in the mines... Emily still has nightmares about it. Even if she goes back to a world where she and the others survive, the Washingtons won't get to be happy, ever. Beth and Hannah and Josh will be dead or worse, and their parents will have lost their children either way.]

Did I tell you what Glacius told me? He said there might be a way for all of us to go to a world where we're okay. There could be a way, with the right technology. [She pauses for a moment.] I hope that's true.

All of us?

( It sounds like a great idea but part of it doesn't sound real. Hell this place shouldn't be real so why is she doubting that she'd be able to go somewhere else. Go there and live )

Is the technology here?

Maybe the Door? I mean, it brought us here in the first place, so it should be able to take us where we want, right?

After everything that's happened we deserve that other place.

Damn right. [Only a few months ago, Emily would've said otherwise, would've disagreed with the assessment that they deserve good things. Now, after all they've been through, after all the work she's done, she's starting to believe that even she deserves a better world.

They come up on the bar now, and thank goodness. This talk has made Emily really, really want that drink.]

I so need a margarita.
