You needn't thank me. I enjoy my work. (It runs in his family; it began with his grandfather - the greatest Smith on Middle Earth. Celebrimbor is technically the second best Smith, but he won't admit to such.)

Amos does not flinch or blink at the landing, having "heard" the bird's intention, and merely tips his head a little to give the jay an easier landing. He digs in his pocket and produces a handful of breadcrumbs, holding this up for his avian friend even as he continues talking.]
