Video - Patron Gods Event
[Video broadcast begins with Jill mad as hell! She's had enough and she's not gonna take it anymore!]
That's it! I've had enough of the gods playing with us. We're not toys for them to wind us up and watch us go once a month for their amusement.
And I know I'm not the only one pissed off about all this.
Maybe the gods are too cowardly to do nothing else but show their faces on the network, so let's take it to their doorsteps.
( The second person in this broadcast is unfamiliar but to the few who've run into her for her first few days here. Really, Dylan hasn't got the experiences or history to talk about the gods in the same way, but they did drag her away from something important to… serve as food? What the hell?
But, more importantly, this friendship bracelet? Has her determined to win whatever the heck sort of contest this is. Which is why she's with Jill, outside one of the temples and stood next to a bunch of supplies - toilet paper, random scavenged foods, paint, rubble - with a bucket of paint in her hand. )
We're taking back our control.
( By splashing paint all over the temple? Kay, Dylan. Okay. )
You better not be too scared to join us.
[ooc: You will find similar supplies at every temple for you to let your rage loose at the gods! Logs can appear here or in the designated log community. When replying to the network post here, you can tag Dylan, or Jill, or both!]

Re: video
[She's not particularly happy about it, either. Jill doesn't want to be this way. She doesn't want to hurt people, but she's already done it.]
video
I only question whether painting their temples with graffiti is going to change anything -- although I understand very well the need to make a statement.
[ He can hear that she's not happy, and he's wondering if there is anything he can do to help. ]
Re: video
I'm not having this stupid conversation with one more person. I'm done explaining myself. To you and to anyone else who just doesn't get it.
video
And while you're at it, what were you going to paint on those temples? Did you have a plan? [ No judgement, just curiosity. ]
video
[He's just irritating the hell out of her now.]
If you don't get it, then go screw yourself! I'm not wasting my time explaining it to you!
[But no one seems to understand how she feels. Could everyone be so content with their lives here that they just sit around with their heads between their knees? Isn't some action better than no action? She can't fucking express her rage without being asked the logic behind it! There is no logic! There is only anger and frustration and pain.
And now she just wants to throw something again. To fling paint against the wall like a child because that's how she feels. Like someone small, swept away by a river with no control over where it takes her. Flailing uselessly against the current, eyes burning, choking, drowning. But Jill has no power to stop it; all she can do is leave a stain behind on their perfect temples to let everyone know how much she fucking hates this feeling. That she, a woman of action, can't do a damn thing about anything. Nothing that matters.
And right now, she also hates Curufin, so blind, and all the rest of them, too. If someone could calm her down, he's not the one to do it. Scoring a point in the game with Jill in this state would take someone with more empathy.]
video
[ Anger and frustration and pain he understands. It's just that in his own world, he wrecked his own life and the lives of others while living a life of emotional response without rational thought. It's true that rationality was completely beyond him at the time. But he has it now, and he values it. However, he doesn't genuinely expect that his rationality is going to be useful to anyone else. ]
And you're right, I probably don't get it. But let me make you a proposal? Meet me at one of the temples, and let's throw some paint at it. Which one are you closest to right now?
Re: video
Hope. I'm there now.
[And when he shows up, he'll find Jill taking a rest on the steps. The temple already looks like a mess, but there's always room for more.]
[action]
You missed a spot or two.
[ He has brought a few supplies of his own -- a couple of big swashbuckling PAINTBRUSHES! He hands her one, picks up the bucket of paint and dips his in, and then hands the bucket back to her. ]
On your mark, get set, and. . . GO! [ The paintbrush slashes across the stone wall and he starts to run with it. Literally. He gives a cowboy yell. A streak of wet paint follows him around the side of the building, until the brush runs out and he has to come back to dip it again. Pretty soon, he isn't just producing wavy lines, but words and phrases in Elven script that are a bit on the brash side. ]
{{ OOC: Sorry, I didn't actually mean to drop this thread! But since so much time has gone by, what if we hand-wave the mayhem, and say they covered the walls all the way around as high they could reach? XD }}
