Hey. I spend a fair amount of time in the orchard, weeding and taking care of plants and stuff. It doesn't need as much work as it would if we were growing it entirely ourselves, but that's no reason not to keep it in good condition. I know I'm not the only one - maybe we could start working together? Coordinate our efforts, I guess.

Plus, I don't even know if half the stuff that grows in there tastes good. I'm wondering if some of it might even be things people would recognize, but there's just so many different things it's impossible to tell. Anyway. Let me know if you're interested.

Oh - and I guess I'm on Sorrow's team. So take a couple minutes out of your day to think about what a waste of time being here is. All the stuff you should be doing at home, all the people you miss, all the shitty things that have happened since you came here and all the great things you're missing out on. Go tell your best friend - sorry, your best cave friend, since your best friend probably isn't here - so you can feel terrible together.

There. Job done. This is ridiculous, I'm pretty sure it's making me sadder than I'm making anyone else.

Actually I'm kinda glad my best friend isnt here, he's got this bad habit of setting things on fire when he's bored

And after asking the birds, most of the fruit there is perfectly fine for eating, I've tried em, but some are really damn sour

Yeah, no one's found anything dangerous - I'm not very worried about that, since it's been around for this long and no one's gotten sick off anything. I'm more interested in what things taste like, what's good, what works in recipes. That kind of thing.

You should come by sometime, definitely. Weeding can be surprisingly cathartic - lots of tearing stuff out of the ground.

A friend who left awhile ago actually catalogued a lot of the fruits in the orchard, with details on what was good to eat. I don't know how far she got, but I still have her notes.

I've tried some of the fruits in the orchard so I could give you some information on those, but it's not all of them, not by a long shot. As for actually helping take care of it? I'm not really a gardener, but if you need more hands pulling weeds every once in a while or something like that, let me know; I'd be happy to help.

and maybe that's the point? sorrow probably wants us to feel sad even if we can't get others to feel that way. i've had zero luck with my roommates.
