[ After realizing what exactly the letter and that friendship bracelet meant, Will went into a mild panic. What did this mean? Why did Fear chose him?! Was it because of what his double had done? What he was capable of? Or perhaps it was because Will was constantly in fear himself?
Will wasn't a competitive man by nature, he was happy being the last kid picked in sports at school, but something about the prize the Gods were offering, really captured Will's attention. Maybe, just maybe, if his team won and they were granted a wish, Will could ask Fear to bring Abigail in through the door? That was his driving force in all this, the hope that he could see her again?
So, with that in mind, Will paced his bedroom floor, wracking his brain trying to think of a way to scare people. He didn't want to, but he was going to! As his imagination went overdrive, Will remembered the horrible things he'd seen while wandering barefoot and sleepless in the Silent Hill Zone. That place had an ability to bring your own personal monsters out of the fog. Maybe, just maybe he would be able to show people some of the monsters that haunted his mind? They terrified Will so why wouldn't they terrify others?
Grabbing his coat and making sure Winston was locked in the apartment, Will left a note for Hannibal on the coffee table, explaining where he was but not what he was doing. This way, at least someone he trusted to come rescue him would be able to find him should everything fall apart.
As the fog rolled in and the ash began to fall, Will took a deep breath and stepped forwards. It was such a strange feeling, you'd think it would be like walking over a thresh hold so clear and obvious, but it took a little while before he even realized he'd made it into Silent Hill. The air felt thick and Will could already feel the sensation of something watching him.
It was about five minutes into his wandering that the sirens finally began to call. Will swallowed the lump in his throat and turned his phone on, broadcasting to the network. He wanted to scare people, he wanted them to see the horrors he was about to face. Knowing full well how dangerous it would be, he came armed with the pistol Maketh had given him and two bullets he'd managed to scavenge. Taking a deep breath as everything went dark, he waited and there it was finally, emerging from the darkness and fog.
Clawing free, those eyes, those antlers, that ever-hungry body. Will hadn't expected to see it, he'd thought maybe the Stag or Hobb's himself, but this? No, this was more terrifying than he'd planned. ]

Oh my God. Will! What're you doing? Get out of there!
[Was he sleepwalking again? Did he wander in by accident? Why would anyone ever go there on purpose? Jill doesn't spend time waiting for a response. She's already pulling on her gun holster, geared up and out the door.]
Video
As much as it hurt him, Will remained silent, eyes closed for a moment as he focused on getting the Wendigo-stag-humanoid on screen. If Jill was worried she might fear for his life... That would count, wouldn't it? It would make him a horrible person, but it would count.
Staying silent Will continued to film the beast as it came to stand up and face him. He didn't draw his gun just yet, he let the monster come closer. ]
Video
She knew she wouldn't get there in time, as close as the beast was to Will, but Jill still ran as fast as she could to the Silent Hill zone. The fog. The sound of sirens. They sent a chill running through her as she ran heedlessly into the area in search of Will. She just hoped she wasn't too late... or that she could even find him. This place had a way of hiding things from people. ]
action;
He'd have to deal with the backlash later, to explain why he willingly came here and let her follow. He was even a little scared for her safety. Knowing full well Jill could fight and handle herself, it was her job after all. But still, there was a wave of guilt that kept washing over him when he thought he saw her in the fog.
Will started to follow her, or what he thought was her. The Wendigo followed Will in chase, turning and keeping half an eye on the monster, it hadn't attacked him yet and hopefully, it would wait. ]
action;
Will? Will? Where are you?
[When there's no answer, she keeps going. She's going to search the whole damn town if she has to. Jill isn't leaving this place without him. And yes, she's scared for his safety. This place is dangerous. None of them should be here. The unexpected could happen at any moment.
It becomes difficult to follow her in the fog without going faster. He'll have to keep pace with her, which meant hurrying in a quick trot down the city streets. She might hear him, though, if he makes too much noise. Running could tip her off. Jill was usually pretty perceptive, after all.
As Will follows the figure down the street, he passes a board that's plastered with missing persons photos. There are dozens of flyers on the board, which look like they've been there for years. Some stapled over others, frayed, tattered, fading, but every single flyer says the same thing:
Jill Valentine
DOB: 6/22/1974
Age: 32 yrs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 123 lbs
Last Seen: Nov. 23, 2006
[She looks a little different with dark hair, but it's the same woman.]
action;
It wasn't until he spotted the missing person board that he stopped. It seemed he wasn't the only one searching for her? Perplexed by the flyers, Will tore one off for a closer look. ]
...Jill?
[ The Wendigo scraped it's talons down the message board, knocking some of the flyers to the ash-covered floor. Will bent down and collected the papers, frowning as he looked back up to the unpleasant thing. It then moved its head, scraping and tearing the flyers with its twisted and sharpened antlers, impaling a few as it continued. ]
Hey! Hey, stop that!
[ Will called out, swatting at the beast as it sprung back with a loud, haunting screech. Taking a defensive pose, as if it was ready to pounce Will at any moment. He didn't understand what he was reading, why Jill was plastered all over the board in missing person adverts, he didn't want the Wendigo to rip them all up either, he didn't want it anywhere near her... He was uncertain of its intentions. ]
Re: action;
Will!
[Jill draws her gun and points it at the creature. If it moves even an inch closer to Will, she'll try and put a couple of rounds into the thing. She doesn't care right now what it's intentions are. Jill isn't going to take any chances.]
no subject
Jill, wait! No! It's okay!
[ He looked panicked, though his voice was calm. It was uneasy having the monster behind him and so close too. Will didn't think it would harm him, not recklessly anyway, he believed he knew it, it's thoughts, it wants and design... He could always be wrong, though, this is a different world after all. ]
no subject
Okay? There's nothing okay about this. Move away from it slowly.
[And if the thing makes any sudden moves, Jill will certainly fire.]
What the hell are you doing here? Were you asleep again?
[Better to think that's the reason, perhaps, than to think that he came here on his own.]
no subject
[ Will wasn't in control here, as much as he liked to think he was. The monster he had manifested with imagination and thought wasn't his own monster but the vivid collection of his thoughts and hints from a Copycat killer. If anything, it was more like Hannibal than himself. It had his face after all.
The Wendigo poked its head up over Will's shoulder as if to taunt and tease Jill. It was right there but she couldn't take the shot, it was too close to Will.
Will wanted to use the Wendigo, lure it out and use it to frighten people, yet right now, it was the one using Will. ]
I think I can control it... I wanted to introduce it to the City... And no, I'm not sleeping I mean er... I don't think I am?
no subject
Will, you can't control it. The things here are dangerous. Move away from it. Now.
[The gun is still up and steady in her grip. It would be risky to take the shot. Jill is a good shot, though, so if Will's life depended on it, she would go for it. If she can hit a zombie between the eyes from a flying helicopter, she might be able to make this shot, too.]
no subject
Then help me to control it!? Please. If you can just escort us out, that all I ask.
[ She was welcome to take the shot if she thought it would kill the beast. But be warned, the wendigo is cunning, sly and full of tricks. Faster than the eye and more agile that it looks. ]
no subject
Okay... okay.
[Her hand gestures down as she lowers her gun and puts it back into its holster.]
We'll get out of here. Together. It's this way.
[She turns to walk, but keeps her eyes on Will and the creature all the while. If they leave the zone, the mist will lift, and whatever that thing is will probably disappear.]
video;
It's something he's seen before, in his double's head, taken from Will's, so even if the video wasn't from Will's account he would have known. The siren and ash tells him where Will is, at least, and he's up and moving even as he hits respond. ]
Will? Can you hear me? Get out of there.
[ He doesn't have his gun with him, he was on a clinic shift, but fuck it. If it was fear Will wanted to evoke, he's successful -- though maybe he didn't count on people rushing to rescue him. ]
video;
Re: video;
It won't be too long before Will hears its engine, and Pell's voice calling his name. Not on the communicator this time. ]
action;
It was the sound of the engine that distracted the thee of them. Stab turning curiously and Wendigo crouching down to hide itself. Will simply looked around, squinting into the fog. He could hear Pell's voice, and it brought him round. ]
Pell? Pell is that you?
Re: action;
[ That way.
Poor Will, when he came here full well knowing what could happen. When he wanted to draw a monster out. Pell reaches out with his senses to get a better idea of where in the terrible fog Will is, slowing his bike so he doesn't accidentally hit something as he looks around. When he spots his friend between two creatures, still holding his phone up, there's a flash of confusion before his expression settles into something less afraid and more determined. They're not going to hurt Will. Focus.
He stops the moped and climbs off, letting it fall to the pavement as he rushes forward, summoning fire in one palm to scare away the wendigo. One monster at a time. ]
Move towards me.
action;
[ As the Wendigo swiped it's long taloned fingers out towards the flame, before cowering down and taking to hide behind a tree, the Stag behind Will rose up. Puffing its chest out, feathers plumed and ruffled about as it came to stand on it's two back legs, boxing it's front legs out in a show of strength and anger.
Will still stood there. His hands spreading out between Pell and the monsters as if to keep them all apart. ]
Don't hurt them! I need them!
[video]
I always love a walk in Silent Hill. Could you prop your communicator somewhere? I expect you'll want your hands free for the good part.
[video]
The good part?
[ He repeated. Last time he was in the Silent Hill zone, Will had been sleepwalking and wasn't completely aware of what he'd been going to seeing. ]
[video]
[video]
I'm not... I'm not sure I can fight it?... How do you fight yourself?
[video]
To the death, if you can. But that's not easy, is it, dear heart? I could never make it stick.
Mine is ...much less pointed. Than yours. She never attacks me, either. Not physically, at least.
[video]
Doesn't is scare you? ...
[ Turning his phone to face the monster as it made gugrling sounds, like it was hungry. Swiping its talons out towards the device as Will pulled back just in time. ]
It terrifies me... I don't think I could fight it... To the death or otherwise.
[video]
[This is a barefaced lie, and Bianca tells it smoothly. Bianca's personal monster is a withered caricature of her own form, one that shrieks the truths she hides from herself in the foggy streets, and she prefers not to think about it.]
He's very impressive. Do you think he'd kill you?
Action
Action
Managing to avoid any actual contact with the Wendigo, Will remained was calm as he could be. Stepping aside when it came closer, moving back when it extended those long spindly fingers, tilting its head curiously as if it was wondering why Will was fearful of it. It only wanted to become closer after all. ]
Action
Hannibal turned around again, and walked down the street. Will's form emerged from the fog, his back to Hannibal, and then, beyond him...
Hannibal paused again, drawing in a breath when he saw the creature, an ebony vision with branching horns, with a face that Hannibal recognized.
He moved closer, slowly, step by step, marveling at the vision.]
Action
Will held his hand out, stepping back with an unsteady foot as the monster drew closer. He had no idea what his imaginary manifestation was thinking or even what it wanted, yet when it pressed it's talon-like hand to his shoulder, gripping tight, Will was frozen in fear.
He could sense the intentions of murder and puzzles. The longing to be seen and understood, it was almost like it didn't know if it wanted to be close to Will or to harm him. The way in wich it dug it's claws into him, drawing blood on contact showed Will that it at lease was real. ]
Action
He watched the creature grip Will's shoulder, watched the way the talons sank into Will's flesh, the way Will's blood welled up, and Hannibal wondered what it would be like to flay his friend, pulling off Will's man-suit to see the dark, pulsing creature beneath.
But not now.
Hannibal stepped closer, and the wendigo looked up at the motion. Hannibal caught his gaze, and slowly shook his head.
Not now.]
Action
So the Wendigo it was. Hannibal's face yet only just unrecognizable to Will. The unfathomable hunger and lust for death. As he stood face to face with the beast, not knowing Hannibal was watching, even then Will just wanted to understand the monster. There was some fear but mostly curiosity.
As Hannibal shook his head, the Wendigo hissed. Slashing that taloned hand down, ripping a chunk clean out of Will's arm as it recoiled, back into a crouching position, cradling the slab of Will to his mouth like a fiend. Will stumbled back, holding the bleeding wound and trying not to show his fear despite being terrified... He was fascinated. ]
video
A teammate, she can tell, because she can feel it; that need to protect, to work together. ]
Get in a building, you stupid fuck. You're dinner if you stay out in the darkness for too long.
video
Sharon? Wh-what are you doing out here?
[ Paying more attention to her than he was to the Wendigo, it made a dash for him. Reaching out and tussling the back of his head, shaving a few of those wild, dark, curls of his with its razor-like talons. It was toying with him like it always did.
Will held his hand out, keeping a distance between the monster and Sharon, he didn't want her killing it. He was, however, totally unaware of the other things that were lurking here in the ash and darkness. ]
Don't kill it! I needed to lure it out... You're... You're on the same side as me aren't you?
video
The creature after him doesn't appear to want to kill Will, not yet. It seems to be far more interested in playing with him and his statement has a frown forming on her lips. He wanted to lure it out? Fuck. Right.
Same team. She lifts her wrist to show off the green bracelet around her wrist, having not bothered to remove it. ]
You're wanting to use it to frighten people? [ She mutters with a hint of realization. It's either an incredibly smart move or an incredibly stupid one. ]
video
[ Tilting his head aside curiously was he asked. What exactly did she mean by that? Was this something she had brought from home with her? Will briefly recalled from memories of his double, how her eyes had turned black and the unstable flame she was able to manifest out of thin air. Did she belong here? Did she cause all of this? No, he had to stop over thinking it, there wasn't time now, perhaps later he could question her more on it.
Nodding and raising his hand to her, pulling back his sleeve and showing her the matching green bracelet he wore. ]
It was the only thing I could think of... It terrifies me, so why wouldn't it scare other?
[ Turning to look at it, the Wendigo lashed out at him suddenly, catching his face and leaving a thin scratch down his cheek. It was toying with him, if it wanted to, it could have consumed him there and then... But it didn't, why? ]
I er... I think I might be able to control it... To a certain extent.
[ Touching his face, dabbing at the blood with the end of his sleeve to stop the bleeding. The Wendigo trembled and in sparse, erratic movements, it withdrew before crouching down on its fawn like legs. ]
Is there a way to lead it out of here? Or would it vanish once I'm past the threshold?
video
You can't leave as long as we're in this version of reality, even if you wanted to. Once the siren sounds, you're stuck until the world rights itself. And the... the fucking monster won't leave with you. It can't. It's... It's like... [ Fuck, he's bleeding and that's just. Fucking hell, Will. ]
Think of it like a dream. In here, it exists. In the real world, it can't. This isn't a dream, though, and it can kill you if you're not careful.
Don't be a fucking idiot, ok? [ Worried? Nah. Not at all. (Yes. Yes she is) ]
[text]
The cameraman is...probably in danger, but they'd clearly sought out this creature, hadn't they?]
Why are you showing us this?
video;
Can you see it too? ...
[ Normally, it was only Will who could see the monsters, but being in this place, this foggy and misty part of the City, people were able to join in seeing Will's visions. It was fascinating. ]
[text]
[He briefly thinks about switching to audio as well - it would probably be easier on the man, since the creature doesn't seem to be going away any time soon - but he's not sure if a sudden deep telepathic voice would be helpful right now.]
What is it?
video
Will? What are you doing? -- what the hell is THAT THING??? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
