[Hello everyone, it's Chris. As usual for his posts while there's no event going on, he has very important things to talk about.]

Hey guys. So, while I've had the time to work on it, I've been taking apart the code Rhys used to make Pong and I think I've got enough of a handle on it to start making some games. Really basic games, though.

[Don't ask him to make Crysis or something.]

So yeah, any requests? I was thinking Tetris, and maybe like, a chess game or something? I dunno. I'm open to suggestions.

[And on that note--]

Em and I are also taking suggestions on the emoji front, too. We've already decided we need a tiny violin for Emily's abject lack of sympathy for my plights in life, but while we're adding one we might as well add a bunch.

[So yeah. That concludes this super important, incredibly necessary post.]

[As if that would work in any way, shape, or form. But, hey, he's earned himself a little foolish optimism after all the shit from the accumulated past few weeks.]

Totally. And I mean, people will definitely opt for battling for high scores instead of fighting, right?

[Yeah, he doesn't believe it either, but they can hope.]

Absolutely. There's way less of a clean-up required after.

[Sans, not everyone gauges the wisdom of their choices on what requires the least amount of effort.]

[Chris makes a scoffing noise and grins.]

Like you'd get involved in cleanup anyway.

[The teasing's good-natured but he can't pass up the opportunity.]

I'll have you know that I would very vocally support the cleanup.

[But there's laughter enough in his tone. It's damned true.]

I'd say you'd make a good cheerleader, but uh, they're actually super active.

[He remembers Jessica wanted to be one before she figured out just how much work went into it.]

Yikes. Not my thing.

There such a thing as a non-active cheerleader? Cheerleader on medical leave?

I don't think so, but this is Hadriel. We can make up whatever kind of cheerleaders we want, right?

Then I'm reserving exclusive rights to the role of "non-compulsory moral support."

[So long as his own morality don't have to be too, y'know. Moral.]

That's a really good sounding title, actually. All official and important.

[Hey, he could be worse moral support. And at least 'moral support' is actually more about togetherness and solidarity than morality, right?]

[It's a gray area, and he's gonna be keeping it that way.]

Guess I'm pretty good at those. Long as I don't have to actually do something, I'm pretty good at it.

You know, people say that's easy, but it's totally not always easy to do nothing.

[He's still not totally sure how Sans doesn't get bored all the time, but hey. More power to him.]

[Sleeping is technically doing something. But only technically. Most people would claim that's really doing nothing at all, which Sans is ideologically fine with.]

I've had lots of practice.

[Chris is pretty sure that, for him anyway, the more practice at doing nothing the harder it becomes, not easier, but that makes him wonder--]

You know, I've gotta ask; do you do the whole 'nothing' thing because you actually like it, or because there's nothing better to be doing instead?

[He contemplates that for a minute, scratching at the temporal region of his skull with one phalanx at considerable length before he final wheedles up an acceptable answer.]

...yes.

[Well, he asked.]

[Chris raises an eyebrow at that.]

I'm gonna take the second answer to be the actual one then, unless you're gonna correct me after all.

[Because he can't imagine Sans wouldn't just say so if the first answer were the only correct one.]

All of the above, more like.

[He likes doing nothing. Really, he does. It's part of his charm, or something. It's preferable to investing time and emotional care into something only to have it all be for nothing, right?]

Fair enough.

[But now he also definitely has to ask--]

What would you want to do? Like, what would be better than doing nothing, if you could pick anything?

Sleeping.

[Thanks for that, Sans. Very descriptive. Very helpful.]

Or, uh...stargazing. That's close enough to doing "nothing," right?

[Of course it ain't. But it's better than admitting when he has a genuine interest in something like stars.]

Stargazing's pretty cool. I wish it were a thing here, though the lights that were put up are pretty awesome on their own.

[He really enjoys them.]

You can thank Shadow for that little idea.

[That ain't completely true. But he's more than happy to let Shadow take the credit, 'specially since Kate ain't around to avoid mentioning her involvement either.]

I'll have to do that and embarrass him for doing something nice.

[It'll be fun.]

Absolutely, yes.

[Please do embarrass Shadow for having feelings and being nice to people. It's always hilarious.]

He'll be in denial about it for days, but it'll be worth it.

Awesome, I'm so doing it.

[Once he gets a good opportunity ~~and if nothing terrible somehow manages to happen before then~~ he'll gladly torment Shadow.]

[ha ha, good thing everyone's definitely doing perfectly fine and healthy right now!]

He and Emily tend to get on, right? [Or is their trading of barbs just the way they express affection?]
