I have an extremely important question. One I've been asking since arriving a year ago. [ Ah. It has been a year, hasn't it? Though she doesn't seem to want to stick on that confession for too long, no. ] But now I figured it was time to make it official! As we all know, the gods have taken on quite... attractive human appearances. They're not interested in us, of course, so it feels a bit unfair to be graced by such hotness and not be able to do anything about it. Yet! I know I can't be the only one that's wondered. Fantasized. Nor can I be the only one with a preference.

[ An audible pause as she considers she might be one of his favorites. He had - on top of just not outright ignoring her - put her on his team for the games, danced with her at the ball. He'd won her over to start with words that tugged at her heart.

Now there's another tug. A different, yet familiar, one. One that she's never going to disclose if she can help it, but, ]

Pft, please. Hermann was one of his favorites. The stuffy intellects. Those are who he likes. Not loud, obnoxious people like me.

Yeah, well, Hermann isn't here anymore. [ a pause, and then: ] You shouldn't want to be his favorite, though.

I'd say there are other people like Hermann here, but. That'd be a lie. There's no one like him.

[ God, what she wouldn't give to hear him snap at Newt again or see his scowl. Because she knew for all that external sourness was a sweet center that made him someone she was proud to call her packmate. ]

Either way, I don't... want to be a favorite. I wanna' be his friend, sure, but. Even that's probably asking for too much.

You know he just cares about himself and the other gods, right? We're just pawns in their game to survive. I doubt they're capable of looking at us like we're anything but emotional chew toys.

He wants you to hurt and you're making it too easy.

Look, don't... You shouldn't be thinking like that. Sorrow is a manipulative asshole and he doesn't deserve your hurt, your pain, your sorrow or woes. The only thing he deserves is an ultimate end.

No, he doesn't. He has the same right to live as me.

He's a predator and we're the prey. I'm a predator, too, so, I. I understand.

[ And predators look out for each other, so. If Sharon ever does succeed in killing Sorrow, well. Rosie won't take that well. ]

No, he doesn't. When you bring pain to others for your own personal gain, when you let them die, when you push them to the brink of wanting to die, you lose that right to live.

[ A pause and then: ] And I'd be careful who you call prey. Some predators know when to wait to make their move.

Again, we're in the same boat. You wanna' kill him, you should want to kill me too. And I'll still argue he deserves to live same as me.

[ Mm. ]

Don't worry, I haven't hunted since I've been here. Not planning on it, either, so... It's a moot point.
