I was free of this place all too briefly. It is interesting that the Door chose me again, out of so many other living creatures in the cosmos...
But then again, even lightning may strike twice.

When I was last in the city, a great wall had split the populace in two. It seems that is no longer the case. What happened, and how long has it been since then?

That was actually rather enjoyable, though. After we assisted the gods in fighting off some strange force that has apparently been hunting them, they expressed their gratitude by treating us to a week of events, none of their usual suffering or torment involved. It culminated in what the humans here called a "masquerade", in which all survivors were able to spend time together celebrating.
It was a good change of pace, honestly.
