[Video] backdated to the 29th because I suck
[A blonde fifteen year old appeared on the screen, with the clinic in the background. He had a sunny, relaxed laziness to his demeanor, like a cat content in a sunbeam.]
Most of you may not have met me yet, I'm Will Solace, I arrived a few weeks ago. I'm working over at the clinic. I'm a surgeon, although I sincerely hope none of you ever need my help.
[Will really hopes everyone keeps their limbs attached, and their organs on the inside. Already, this place seems a lot calmer than Camp. No one's gotten maimed or anything.]
I wanted to let everyone know that Dr. Lee Rosen passed away earlier. The clinic will still be open of course to anyone who needs help.
[Will keeps glancing around, almost like he expects trouble, habits die hard. Especially those habits ingrained to keep you alive. No monsters yet.]
To that end I'm trying to fulfill his requests. Who is Frisk?
[private to Lance Sweets]
How are you doing on food? And in general? Dr. Rosen... Lee
[Will stumbles, still trying to figure out what to call. Guess it might not matter anymore]
He wanted me to check on you. Make sure you were eating real food. How's your five basic food groups?

[Will knew he was leaving out a lot, but he didn't want to overwhelm Pell. He was also fairly certainly he didn't need Will's entire life story, or the story of the wars between the Gods and the Titans, or Gaea or any of the other stuff that's happened over the past few years. Maybe it would come up, maybe it wouldn't.
His hand went to his necklace, a few clay beads each depicting a different design on a leather cord.]
We get one every summer, it marks another year you survived.
Re: --> [action]
He leans in and peers at the beads, but when he straightens back up his question isn't about them. ]
Do you know your father?
Re: --> [action]
Kind of? I never actually met him as him. I've read books, I know all the stories, sometimes he answers prayers and comes in dreams. But recently? Well, Zeus, he's kind of the king of the gods, he's in charge of everyone? Well, my dad really pissed him off. So now he's stuck in this 15 year old mortal body and.....that's actually the first time I met him.
He passed out after getting beat up by thugs and chased by monsters and I nearly killed him thinking he was still a god instead of a regular mortal.
So, I guess that's a complicated answer to your question. Does it help? You don't seem surprised by the whole Gods thing. But I guess you've been here for a while, right? It's probably second nature by now.

Re: --> [action]
[Was that the polite way of putting it? Yes, yes it was.] Usually when they come down to see us it's because they need something. Something bad's going to happen, or they lost something or somethings malfunctioning, or they need us to pick up their godly dry cleaning.
I guess though, if your strings are being pulled by someone back home? Sometimes you have to figure out what you can do and what you can't. Gods are powerful. You can't fight against fate or prophecy directly. I don't know how it is where your'e from, but where I'm from? A lot of times when things look pretty dire, it's not always correct. It could be, but fate's tricky like that. It likes to twist and turn and is never exactly what you think.
Re: --> [action]
I'd prefer being told to pick up dry cleaning.
Re: --> [action]
That sounds familiar too. Even the not dead part. I don't know what your life is or what it will become, but getting to realize that your life isn't your own? That I get.
It's not a fun leap but once you accept it, you can work within those rules. You can't fight against a rope if you refuse to acknowledge the noose around your neck.
Re: --> [action]
How does one fight a god?
Re: --> [action]
With great difficulty and the right weapon.
Re: --> [action]
The right weapon, hm? You can probably tell I'm not the one who should wield it.
Re: --> [action]
Weapons come in all shapes and sizes, Pell. Anything can be a weapon if you know how to use it. It doesn't have to be a physical object.
Re: --> [action]
I'll remember that, then.
Re: --> [action]
I hope that helps you when you go back.
[Because as long as Will was concerned, it wasn't an 'if'. They were all going back.]
Re: --> [action]
Maybe it will help.
[ He doesn't comment on the when rather than if... as terrible as it is in Hadriel he's content to stay for awhile longer and suspects that isn't the case for Will. ]
Are you trying to destroy gods yourself?
Re: --> [action]
I don't kill Gods, no. But some bad things have happened in the past few years that caused some to be all but.
