[Don't mind this jerk, he's been keeping to himself for several days, diligently learning as much as he can in private. Including how not to burn down a kitchen. But now, he's got an actual question for which using the network seems the fastest route to an answer.
I heard there was a clinic, here. If I'm going to be stuck here for a while...I might as well make myself useful. I'm a doctor - a surgeon. Who do I talk to about the clinic?
[World's worst beside manner, by the way]
Unrelated, but if anyone has suggestions for meals for someone who can't cook, I...
[his actual request is cut off by a loud thunk just off screen. Law turns to see what it is, and the twist of his head and shoulders tips the video feed just enough to let everyone see what has just appeared in his living room. He sure didn't teleport that there, so...]
...what the hell??

You've managed to convince me. I'll be down shortly.

[ And so he is, when Law comes by. He's on the small side and delicate looking in person, with a long braid trailing over his shoulder... he fiddles with the end of it as he leans against the side of the clinic, waiting, one foot propped up on the wall. Any excuse for some fresh air, really. Though he looks troubled, when he spots Law he perks back up, smiling. ]
Hey.

Pell, was it?
no subject
He notices the bandages but says nothing for now, instead just offering a hand to shake hello. ]
It is. I didn't catch your name, Doctor...?
no subject
[he nods once toward the building behind Pell] So this is it.

[ He shifts away to show Law inside -- it's clearly just a house that's been converted, but it's exceptionally clean. ]
This is it. Modest but well stocked and staffed, right now. Let me give you a tour?
no subject
Yeah. Show me where everything is - I don't want to be hunting through cabinets if someone comes in needing bandages or worse.
...how much 'worse' does it get? In your experience.

...we've lost patients. Granted, the worst I've seen was out in the field and I was alone without supplies, but. I don't think anyone else here could have saved her. It gets bad. There are issues besides injuries as well, like the wasp stings and zombie bites.
no subject
Wait. Zombie...bites?
[so he's seen armored crabs, and guys using magic, and chairs appearing out of thin air in his room, and yet, Law still has to side-eye that remark like it's somehow the weirdest thing he's encountered today.]
no subject
[ Zombies don't sound any weirder to Pell than anything else that comes in through the Door. ]
no subject
[honestly he's going to have to get used to that compared to everything else]
I wasn't aware that zombies were in the habit of biting but I suppose different worlds, different habits. Intriguing, though. It would be worth it to study infections like that...

[ Pell tilts his head curiously. ]
Your world has zombies too? How are they different?
no subject
Huh? Oh. It's not that we have them. I just know of someone with an ability that allowed him to create zombies. Never seen one myself. They were just reanimated corpses, I think.
