[Guess who is definitely interested. One of the more frustrating aspects of Near's departure is that he never finished teaching Mello all the magic he knows. He scrolls through the other replies to get an idea about what glyphcrafting actually is before asking his own question:]

I've had successful students in this craft before, and am likely the only one here anymore who knows how to do it in the first place.

I've been practicing for years, but I've only been teaching since a while after I got here. It never particularly crossed my mind that I could until someone asked me.

Perhaps I want people to write on those particular sheets of paper for a reason.

There's a lot more than one can glean from someone's handwriting than whether or not they've lousy penmanship.

In a way. It's much easier to scry the dead and the inanimate than the living, but it is something I put consideration into when I decided I'd ask for students.

Is that something you'd consider teaching as well? Assuming it's different from glyphcrafting.

I suppose it depends on how apt my students are. Scrying the dead is a more, er. Specialized skill, but basic enchanting via glyphcrafting is on the agenda, and that's how I made the applications.
